MY BLOG FOR NOVEMBER. IT’S GOING TO BE A BUSY MONTH!
I promised Olivia – my whip-wielding assistant – that I would write a quick blog before next month gets underway and here it is. The clocks went back today and it feels that winter has finally drawn in. And there’s my old winter coat stretched out on the sofa in my office with my old dog stretched out on top of it. The sun is setting and it’s only 4.00pm! As usual, the year has gone past like an express train (not the most brilliant of comparisons but I’ve just stepped off the Eurostar from Paris so trains are very much in my mind). And why was I in Paris? Read on. Although actually, I’m not entirely sure myself.
I went to Paris for a reunion of secret agents who worked for the SOE, the Special Operations Executive in the second world war. I wrote about the SOE a few years ago in an episode of Foyle’s War and developed a huge admiration for them…they were incredibly resourceful and brave. Nowadays, the survivors are extremely old but still as sharp as knives…in their case the Fairbairn-Sykes double-edged commando knife with eight-inch blade that was developed for their use. I listened to a talk by a saboteur who must have been almost ninety but looked thirty years younger. I also met a lady whose job was to “seduce” SOE agents and see if she could get information out of them. If she succeeded, they were sent home. It was bizarre because I actually created such a character when I was writing Foyle…and here she was for real!
While I’m on the subject of TV, next month COLLISION is being shown on ITV, starting on a Monday and ending on a Friday. I’ve mentioned this programme before and here it is again but I’m really proud of it and hope it’ll do well. When you make TV programmes, so much can go wrong. You get the wrong director or the weather’s bad or you run out of money or whatever. But this time everything went perfectly and I honestly think it’s the best thing I’ve ever done. You can expect to read quite a bit of it in the month ahead and there are going to be some big posters too. Let’s just hope it pours with rain so people stay in and watch.
And at more or less the same time (I don’t have the exact dates), I’m setting off on my CROCODILE TEARS tour which takes me to Edinburgh and Birmingham before I head back to London and finally – at the end of the month – Dublin. If you’ve ever been to one of my talks, you’ll know that usually I just walk onto the stage and answer questions for an hour. This time, we’re doing it rather differently. It’s going to be more of an interview with clips from STORMBREAKER, COLLISION and FOYLE’S WAR. The interviewer is a journalist/presenter called Paul Blezard who does a brilliant job. He could make a study of thirteenth century paint drying techniques sound interesting. There’ll still be time for questions from the audience – but it makes it all a bit more varied and, more to the point, less work for me.
I will, of course, be signing copies of CT – and the publishers have come up with a special stamp that’s unique to these events. And I can catch up with my family on the way. My son, Nick, is at university in Edinburgh and my mother-in-law lives in Birmingham so maybe they’ll come along and heckle.
Then I’m off to America, which I mentioned in my July blog. The cities have now been chosen and include Boston, Detroit, St Louis, Raleigh, Atlanta and Washington DC. So many flights! I’ve begun to worry about my carbon footprint which may surprise you but I’ve been researching global warming for my next book – the last in the Power of Five series – and the facts do seem to be rather alarming…which is probably the understatement of the millennium. I’ve also joined something called 10:10 which is a rather smart campaign by The Guardian to get everyone to cut their emissions by 10% in the year 2010. Normally I don’t join campaigns. God help me if I become a do-gooder in my old age (actually, He likes do-gooders so He probably will). But it seemed hard to refuse this one. Apart from anything else, I’ve noticed the water getting closer and closer to my little house in Orford. I used to live beside the sea. Now I seem to live in it…at least some of the time.
And here’s something else that I’ve joined. I’ve become a judge for Divine Chocolate who are running a poetry competition. You have to write a poem (which can be rude, funny, sad, serious, whatever) called “If I owned a chocolate company” and the winners will receive large quantities of chocolate, book tokens and a recording of the poem by me. Since I have a stammer and a lisp, this may not be the best part of it, but I’d say otherwise it’s definitely worth a go. It was my friend, Anne Fine, who introduced me to the competition and I have to say I do absolutely love the chocolate and I suppose I ought to mention (doing good again) that it’s a Fair Trade product and so worth supporting. You can find more details on their website:
http://www.divinechocolate.com/news/showNews.news77.aspx
I recently judged a short story competition too. The quality of the writing was very high but I have to say that a lot of the entries were rather depressing. Subjects included suicide, self-hatred, cancer, autism and disability…and those were some of the more cheerful ones. I met the winners at a reception at 10 Downing Street and that was rather depressing too. G. Brown looked worn out and miserable. Not surprising, I suppose, given the bashing he gets in the press. Anyway, if you want my advice, if you do write poems, you’ll find something cheerful to say. But then how could owning a chocolate factory not be fun?
Finally, while I’m away, I’m going to be tweeting again. I joined Twitter last year and twittered or tweeted every day for a while but then I got fed up with it. I thought it was getting a bit naff what with people like Jonathan Ross and Stephen Fry even twittering when they tied up their shoelaces. But my American publisher insists that it’s worthwhile and my son Cass is currently on the road in Australia and he may pick up some of my messages so as from today, I’ll be sharing my own trivia with the world once again. If you’re interested, you can follow me on tour.
The next time I write a blog, it’ll be Christmas. In fact, in half the shops in my area, it already is. Sometimes, I’m tempted to throw bricks…
Happy Halloween!
Anthony Horowitz

This is a picture, my son, Nick, took when I was in Kenya, researching Crocodile Tears. And it's not a long-distance lens! He managed to snap them moments before they attempted to snap him.

So glad to hear some substantial news from you, glad you’re keeping busy, and very glad you’re still polishing your dry wit. That’s one thing I love about the Diamond Brother’s books, that ridiculously funny dry wit. Keep it up! And if you do become a do-gooder in your old age, don’t take yourself too seriously.
Hello! I must say I cannot wait for CT to come out! (all my friends say I’m insane!) it also makes this month just a tad more happy because my family friend Lynn (who was almost my aunt) died of cancer on the 26. Sorry to spill out my life story which is depressing! Anyway I CANNOT wait! Yah!
Amanda
glad to hear from you. I can not wait for CT
Yay! You’re comig to Dublin! Last time you were here i was sick and didnt get to see you… it was very annoying!
Ah i cant wait for CT. It’ll be the best day of the month for me!
Hi anthony i love all your books and i am so excited about your new book that is coming out . i love the power of five books and i cant wait to it comes out . i will be first in line for ct and i have the date on my calender ! and i hope when you are going to dublin you might travel north and go to donegal please !
hopefully i can see you when your in america and come to Raleigh
even through i well have to get someone to drive me there it would be worth it
I really enjoy your Gatekeepers series and eagerly await book 5 BUT PLEASE, please, please read Michael Crichton’s State of Fear book before completely making up your mind about GLOBAL WARMING! It is a fiction book but is filled with interesting arguments against global warming AND has a huge bibliography at the end to do some of your own research. I believe in conserving Earth’s precious resources but Global Warming (which is still a THEORY but always presented as conclusive fact), carbon footprints (gag) and my personal favorite, Climate Change (as if the climate has EVER been stable) have gotten out of hand.
Hello from one of those American cities you will be flying over between Boston and Washington DC! Our family here in the Philadelphia area are major Foyle’s War fans and were quite please to hear about the new season. The series really is quite well written and acted. Any word or idea on when it might be shown in the states?
Thanks much and don’t forget to take time to write more in between all the travels!
Mark M.
Can you post your full U.S. tour information, i.e. date and times, and whereabouts as soon as possible, I really hope to be able to attend one of the events!
Finnaly another blog! I love getting to know my favorite authers, and this is a great way to do it. I just recently even read a biography about you Anthony. I’m very excited about CT and the new power of the five book, although I still havn’t read Necropolis! Anyway, please post your full US tour information ASAP. I’d be excited to find you coming to the twin cities.
I absolutly can not wait till CT comes out. Ive told all my friends to read them and the truly like them. I live in Iowa so its a shame that you wont be coming to my city =(
I wish you could come out to the West Coast. Los Angeles would be a great place to stop by! I’ve wanted to meet you since the first time I read the Diamond Brother mysteries, which introduced to me the Alex Rider series. Thanks!
Hi i heard that you are coming to dubai for a festival called the festival of literature because thats what im told and you came earlier this year in feburary when i met you so could you please confirm that in your next blog?
Thanks,
Reggie

Dear Anthony Horowitz,
My name is AJ Chabot and I live in the town of Rye in New York State. I have loved your books since I finished the first chapter of Stormbreaker. The story went straight into action and it definitely was not a boring beginning. I read Stormbreaker for a school project and when I finished the book, I suddenly realized how thankful I was of that book. It had a ton of exciting and suspenseful scenes and everything was very realistic, so I had a really easy time doing my project. I liked Stormbreaker so much that I read Scorpia. I loved Scorpia! It was definitely one of the best books I have ever read mostly because of the huge surprise at the end. After Scorpia I read Eagle Strike. Eagle Strike I thought was more of a mystery but I still thought it was an amazingly good book. Once I finished Eagle Strike, another project came up. There was a big list of books that I could choose from and I had to choose two. One of the books on the list was Snakehead! I didn’t know who this book was by, but when I saw your name I knew that this would be one of the books I would read. The second book that I thought I would read was Ark Angel. I just finished both of these books and I thought they were both very good.
There are a few specific things that I really like about your writing. One of them is how realistic and possible the details in the book are. The second is how funny and humorous some of the lines that Alex says are. The third is how exciting and suspenseful your writing gets. The fourth is how persuasive and creative the intro is on the back of your books. All of these things I think make you one of my favorite writers. One thing that I would like to ask you is this; what do you think makes YOU a good writer?
From,
AJ
Hello Mr. Horowitz. For the Power of Five series you said would be about global warming. Though please don’t just lecture us about it and make it the main conflict. I don’t want all the characters to be “Eco-fighters”. Trust me I really green I just think a global warming plot could kill the story. Like in a series called Maximum Ride. But anyways I am really excited for Crocodile Tears just like all your other fans.
hello ,Mr.horowitz
I’m a belgian girl and I really loved your work
My faverit book is the power of five.
I hope that you come to belgian .I really want to meet you .
from ,
silke
Hey. I cant wait for CT! Neither can my brother. We love your Alex Rider books and I’m trying to get my bro to read the power of 5. I love writing myself and want to be a writer myself. In your next blog please drop a few hints about the last power of 5 book. I’m DYING to know.
p.s. I’m writing a book. Any tips?
hey mr horowitz
keep up the great work- oh and could you do me a favor? could you send Sabina to Antarctica and have her never come back? my sisters and i would appreciate it! thanx ;P (and PLEASE don’t end the series by killing Alex! that would be sad… :[)
SO glad to hear more from you! i cant wait for CT to come out, but i have to wait until it comes out in paperback to get it so it matches the rest of the series…
is the November 12 date for the UK, or is it for the US (here), too? because i heard november 17th, so i wasnt sure whether it’s coming out here on the 12th or 17th! (or if any other commenters know, could you comment it? because i doubt mr horowitz actually reads these… well, i’ll figure it out eventually… ;P)
another thing i’m happy about– you’re coming to Boston! that’s great! i’m so excited b/c youre my favorite author and big popular authors never really come to Mass! thanks!
well, i hope you have fun on tour
have an uber-wonderful day!
-Naomi

I CAN’T WAIT FOR CT TO COME OUT all my friends think that im going mad because thats the only thing ive been talking about for about 2 months, oh and i met one of my teachers in the middle of the corridor the other day and and said something about CT and i just started jumping up and down clapping my hands right there, it was so embarising. woops
anyway, I LOVE THE ALEX RIDER books and even got told off by my mum for writing ALEX RIDER all over my new school bag the other day.
CANT WAIT FOR CROCODILE TEARS.
OMG! I CANNOT WAIT FOR CROCODILE TEARS TO COME OUT!!!
I am A MAJOR fan of Alex Rider and love the twisting plots! i also luve the stormbreaker movie but it wasnt as good as the book i hav to say. Keep up the great work Anthony! Hope to hear from ya soon!
Hey! I heard you were coming to Dublin and if anyone knows the dates could they please post it because I would love to go and see you!
I would just like to say to Anthony, if he does read this, thanks because you’ve inspired my older brother, who never used to read many books, then he got into the Alex Rider series, getting me and my older sister into them because we both read (alot!).
My brother now reads more books and I know he will be pleased to hear you’ll be in Dublin
We all love Alex Rider and can’t wait 3 more days ’till CT is released!
Regards,
Aisling, Sligo
Hi Anthony i’m coming to your signings. PLz PLz sign all my PO5 ALEX RIDER And my granny Book. I’m your no.1 fan!!
QUESTION???? You said in the cover of Ark Angel that the last Alex Rider book would be when he turned 15!!!! I have done some calculations and he should be turning 15 very soon. Does this mean that this is the last book or is there still another one to go!!!! Or can you just forget that you said that at all and write a million more!!! PLEASE
Random!!
Alex Rider just never ends, does it? And I thought Snakehead was the last book. Can’t wait to get my hands on Crocodile Tears, You rock Anthony Horowitz – are you coming to Dubai again for EAIFL? Please do!
hello mr horowitz i just bought croc tears but im reading a series of unfortunate events at the moment, (sod that!), please oh please keep writing more alex rider!!!! i saw collision its exellent! please write more!!
I’m glad your doing tour dates in America, but nothing thats less then a two-day drive for me, which my Dad would never go for.
I can’t wait till CT I’ve been driving all my friends crazy at school, but they had to get use to it—I’ve been counting down for more then two months.
I love all your books that I have read (living in America has limited my ability to get a hold of the diamond brother books.)
HI! I’m Janneke, 17 years old and from the netherlands, and I just got CT, I’m really loving it! Thank you very much for being such wonderful author Mr. Horowitz! I love the alex rider books
Hi, I got CT two days ago and now I’m finished and I LOVED it!!:)
I agree with Rhonda read State of Fear, it was an excellent book.
Glad to hear the new Power of Five is coming out, my son loves Alex Rider. First seen Power of Five advertised in Batman. I have a “small” collection of comics – well over 3,000!
Keep tweeting, Stephen Fry may tell you he’s tying his shoe laces up but its pleasing to know that even celebrities do normal things!
Hopalong
Being from Australia I never hear anything about when your books are coming out so I find it frustrating when I find out that one of your books has been out for a couple of months and I haven’t seen it advertised! (Stupid Australian advertising companies).
I absolutely love your books. I’ve read the entire series God knows how many times and every sideline book like ‘The Gadgets’ etc are all sitting upon my shelf as we speak.
I have known this for many years but I haven’t been able to congradulate you on your sneaky use of your family’s names in ‘Point Blanc’ – very sneaky indeed. But I hope to see you writing your books forever. Do you know anything about the Alex Rider graphic novels? Will Skeleton Key have one out soon? Their fascinating, but if not then keep the Alex Rider books coming along – its the most popular thing over here since Federation!
Thanks, Anthony – you make my reading experience all that more special…
It’s funny to see how many people waiting impatiently CT! While here he’ll not go out soon, and we don’t hear much about ^___^ Except for the film based after, I never heard about the books.
For my part, I wait with GREAT impatience for the release of the latest “Power of Five”… I’ve read on only handles the 5 books before, and I really loved them! I hope to read in a “near” future the following of their adventures – especially because the last chapter left us on a “ohmy” critical time!
Dedications in France one day ? Or other events around your books? Thanks for all, and good luck for the future o(^^o)(o^^)o
A French fan~
Im your biggest dutch fan! Can’t wait for the new book ‘Crocodile Tears’! I’ve read all your books.
A Dutch Fan
I began reading the Alex Rider series back in 2000 when Stormbreaker was first published and I am now 22 years old and have just finsihed Crocodile Tears! Not many authors have followed me from my childhood but I have remained faithful to the Alex Rider series and must confess that it has never disappointed. I have also read many of your other works and must say that I greatly appreciate the work that you put into making your fiction as close to fact as possible, it is something few writers seem to bother with. I do hope that Crocodile Tears will not be the last of Alex Rider and that your vivid imagination continues to bear fruit.
I wish you all the best with your book tour and wish to congratulate you on your work on Collision. I am hopeful that you will continue with your writing and will continue to recommend your work.
Hey there,
) and oversized sunglasses complete with undersized dogs.
Great job on Crocodile Tears, very enjoyable read. I wouldn’t worry too much about your carbon footprint though, unless you start acting like a celeb and having fifteen Ferrari’s, a gold lined hot-tub, diamond bikini (no clue what you’d do with that
Looking forward to any future books (hopefully Po5 will be sufficiently creepy and nerve wracking!
) and may I ask, would you ever visit Australia again? And perhaps, ahem, visit Canberra and sign a few books?
Anyway, thanks for being one of the most awesome authors out there, I rank you above Raymond E Feist and Stan Lee!
- From aspiring author and adoring fan, Penny.
PS, are you taking part in NaNoWriMo? (National Novel Writing Month, run every November. Have a look next year if interested
)
We loved meeting you at Borders in Fairfax on November 24. We wish you could have talked longer, but loved the personal conversations and your patience in signing the many books for the boys, their school and friends. Please visit again.
Dear Mr. Horowitz,
Loved Crocodile Tears!! Just finshed it! I know that Alex has to go to school sometime, but I would mutch rather read about him on an adverture! Jack may not want him on any more missions but I really do! Hopefully you will please, please, please write more even if it is only one mission a year for Alex. Then he can grow up and work for them full time!
I also read Power of the Five and can not wait until the last book comes out! Please give some hints! I have even managed to get my friends intrested in PO5 and now they are really excited!
Love your writing and am always anticipating a new releas! Keep up the fantastic writing!
Sammy J.
Hey, I cant wait for CT to come out! But whens the next power of five book coming? The last one was left on such a cliff-hanger I can’t wait for the next one!
Collision is the best story I have ever seen on Masterpiece Theater. It was brilliant! I am 70 years old, have seen more than my share of Poirot, Morse, et al and this was the best ever. Congratulations on your success.
Hi, I’m McKay Jenson, I just love your books. I want to write books too, but I really need some tips on how to make a good book people would want to read. So, it would be just the most awesome thing if I got help from my favorite author. So, please e-mail back as soon as possible. Thanks
-McKay Jenson
P.S. YOU ROCK!
I wanted to say thank you. Several years back you met my son, Max Koring and put his name in your book Nightrise. Although he was a little dissapointed to be an overweight, balding prison guard, It realy made a great impression on him and we can’t wait for the last of The Power of Five.
dear anthony im 8 years old i love your books and when i grow up i want to be like you please keep makeing more alex rider books.
I personally bought FIVE copies of CT for my library and nearly had boys come to fisticuffs over who would get one first. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Now go back to writing!
I can’t wait for the fifth installment of The Power of Five, I read the other 4 in less than a month, not realizing there was gonna be a fifth! It’s an amazing series and I’m anxious to know what happens between The Five and the Old Ones!
Ohio, Horowitz-san! (Er, I’m not Japanese. Bangladeshi, but live in Arizona.)
Thank you so much for bringing AR and Po5 into the world.
CT was probably the best AR book yet. I can’t wait for the next one.
Since you’re coming to America, do you think you could come to Phoenix, or some where close to Laveen?
The last Po5 book, do you know what it going to be called yet? Anxiously waiting for news about this.
Last thing, I’m writing a story as well. Any tips?
Oh yea, and don’t strain yourself out too much.
Good luck.
Thanks,
-Rocky
You are a total legend!! Your just amazing cant really put it any other way.
I bought your book Crocodile Tears earlier today and i have just finished (took me just 4 hours!) and i absolutly adored it, though i have to say Scorpia is my all time favorite.
I cant believe my dad has met you and i havnt? He didnt even get me your autograph (of course it much of been a short while after i was born but still not exactly fair ey?)
Now i need you to tell me before i have a heart attack.
1)Is there going to be a book after CT?
2)I dont suppose there is any chance of you bringing K-Unit or Ben Daniels into any of your future stories (if there is any)
3)Yassen. I love him. Hes not really dead is he? I no he probably is but i can hope.
I am also a huge fan of your Power of 5 books. Matt being my favorite character. I cannot wait for the next book.
Thankyou so much for been my inspiration. I dont think there much chance of me being a writer but your books give me hop (maybe i could be a super spy?)
Thanks for been such a legend.
Your biggest fan
Beth W x
My sister is absolutely bonkers with your stuff. She actually believes in Alex Rider being real. Isn’t that crazy? I mean, I have nothing personal against you, I swear, but man! I bet if you put up that Alex Rider exists, she’d just go bonkers and track you down. She’s not out to end the world and rule it, she’s out to BE Alex Rider… Perhaps if you came to Utah and knocked some sense into her, then she’d be normal!!! Thanks
Hey,
my name is Rebecca Chapman and i am 14 and to tell you the truth I hadnt even heard of you until last week when i bought Stormbreaker and Point Blanc and for some reason Ark Angel it was only when I got home that I realised Ark Angel was the 6th and was quite distressed
after the first page of Stormbreaker I didnot put it down I was walking down the road with it!! I love Alex Ryder! It is every childs dream to become a spy and its funny to read a book where the character is forced into being a spy
i cant wait till i get the other books !! hope you had a great holiday xx
Rebecca Chapman (aged 14 from Bournemouth) xxxxx
A very big thank you for writing such exciting stories. Zeph hates reading but he has not been able to put CT down. He has been oblivious to what has been going on around him. And his friend Daniel has devoured Necropolis. Us “older folk” enjoy the adventures too. So thanks so much.
I just finished reading crocodile tears. It was a great eigth edition to the series but I was wondering why Alex’s character had changed so much since the last books. He wasn’t reluctant at all to kill in this one and I was wondering why he was not as hesitant in killing. Please comment?
Hi Mr.Horowitz,
My daughter is a big fans of Alex Rider. We live in Hong Kong. She has just finished reading “crocodile tears”. Just want to let you know that my daugther and I have a blog sharing book reviews and making book recommendations to kids and parents (in Chinese). Alex Rider series is certainly included in our “Books for senior primary kids” category. If you have time, you can take a look of our articles (copy and paste the link to the browser) that introduce this series to Hong Kong readers :

I live in USA. I’ve read all the Alex Rider books and love them. I just found a DVD of Stormbreaker, I enjoyed it and was trying to find information on whether any more movies will be made. I hope there will. I liked the casting for Stormbreaker.
I am a janitor at the local middle school and stumbled across my first Alex Rider series book at a book fair. Since I have read all but Skeleton Key, which was missing from the library collection. I recently purchased it at Barnes and Noble along with Scorpia which the library also does not have. I intend to present both to the school library as a gift as soon as I am finished, which will be delayed a bit due to the fact that I’m currently reading Necropolis the fourth book in the Gate Keeper Series. I can tell you your books are number one with the students and always in demand. I can’t wait to read Crocodile Tears!
I have read all your alex rider and gate keepers! they were amazing! the only one i havent read is the crocodile tears and i cant wait to read it! you are an awsome author! I LOVE YOUR BOOKS! i hope you continue the gate keeper series!
I love your books, but I didnt even realise there was another one until I read this website. I really like writing stories, but I hate showing anyone them cause they will take the mick, however I’m determind to finish a decent story & even if no one but me reads it, I don’t mind because although being an author would be great, writing at the mo is more like an escape from my life & all the crap that goes on. So after all this I just wanted to say how much I am looking forwards to crocodile tears & the last power of 5 book to come out.
Bexxy
I love your books first of all and Ive been trying to get a hold of CT since it came out. also love the power of 5 books but I have to say the end of Necropolis left me reaaly confused. 8th grade has been awesome because of your books Thanks for all the hard work you do to give us chidren the joy of reading and please keep writing for all of us. You rock!
this is great. i cant wait for this new book. alex rider is a huge hit amongst us friends. i’m now thinking about starting to read your other books. this is going to be a great, action packed year. keep up the great work!!!
Just a couple of things-
First of all, in the next blog, could you clear up once and for all whether or not Crocodile Tears is the last book? It’s been bugging me ever since I finished reading it.
Secondly, I’m writing a book (seems a shame that phrase is such a cliche on these message boards) and I was wondering if you have any tips about what to do when writer’s block sets in or you’re not feeling particularly inspired to write. What do you do to get back some creative flow?
Thirdly, I second the notion that you should come to Canberra.
Anyway, you’re a fantastic author and I hope you write many more thoroughly entertaining books.
Your books are awesome, I am on Crocodile Tears right know and it is so cool!!! I also liked Snake Head, Eagle Strike, and Ark Angle!!!! Is Crocodile Tears the last book? Did the clone die in the fire or his he going to come back in your next book???
Hey Mr. Horowitz
I’ve read many of your books(especialy Alex Rider and Power of Five) but I’ve just read South by South East.
I was wondering why you’ve wrote that book. I need it for an assinment for my class Dutch(wich I am, Dutch).
Can you please email me
Thanx alot
Dear Anthony
You should talk to movie producers about making a point blanc movie just like for storbreaker and might i add it was a great movie
Dear Mr. Horowitz,
I am a huge fan of your work. The Alex Rider and Gate Keeper stories are of the many reasons that I love to read. I hate when I finish one of your books because the story is finished. I, like others, would enjoy it so much if you kept the Alex Rider stories going after Crocodile Tears. I have recently watched the movie Stormbreaker and again like the books I wanted another movie. I was wondering if you could consider to keep going with your work.
Sincerely,
Emma F.
I think this comment is a bit late. To be honest, my mother got me Crocodile Tears for Christmas and I haven’t touched it. I waited breathlessly for Snakehead’s release, and when I read it I found it to be very disappointing. So I’m a little afraid of opening your new book.
I’ve been trying to get back into the excitement of AR (got the graphic novels, is that what you used the Point Blank screenplay for? ) and it seems to be working because I’ve re-read Skeleton Key at least four times in the past two days.
This is getting a little long (I don’t want to spam the comment area) so I’ll just have to wrap up by saying that I’ve read all of your books, even the old versions of “Power of Five” (which were hard to find, but luckily I grew up in France so I was able to read the French translations) and I think I liked the “Silver Citadel” best… I wonder why you cut out my favourite part (the bit with the stage about to crush Nick)…
My point is that your books gave me some of the best fun and daydreams of my life, so please keep writing and I hope I enjoy Crocodile Tears so that I can finally return to the “we love Anthony Horowitz” fan circle
Sincerely,
Pat J.
