I was reading "the night of the scorpion"(couldn't wait for evil star to come out, lol) and when i finished I decided to look up the Nasca Lines.  don't know if they will appear in Evil Star as well, but hey...they're actually quite amazing.  I found a website about it that's very details, including all the theories there have been about them.  So I thought I'd share Smiley

to read more about them: http://www.crystalinks.com/nasca.html

some of those drawings are quite impressive.  And there's a detailed map on there with all the drawings on there.  Just for those who are interested, and have read the old books I suppose...I guess people who haven't read those wouldn't really know what this is about, lol

hehe it;s ok

Nasca lines are huge drawings in a desert in Peru.  In the old series, they....well i don't wanna give too much of the stody away in case that part stays the same, so I'll jsut say they played an important part, and martin(now matt) and the second kid visit them.

actually no, not like crop circles.  these are perminent in teh hard rock desert floor and no on has been able to figure out exactly how old they are so far.  there's some theories, some say it ahs to do with a landingstrip for a ufo, others think it's just like a map of the stars(similar to how all the big statues and buildings in egypt combined form a map of the stars), and yet other people think they were drawn to make the land more fertile

if they're like anything, i'd say they're like stonehenge, not crop circles

Its quite fasinating though, we still are not sure who built that Stonehenge though it is widely believed to be the Celtics. Some scients have dated them further back than that...
Its really fasinating, I love acient history and would love to do an insight into stuff like this. A map of the stars makes the most sense, thought you would have to watch the stars each night and take recordings of what they look like... Remembering that the solar system has moved and stars will have died and been born since. So actully we will never know...

they're real, but onfortunately erosion and tourism and stuff are eating away at them, so it could very well be that soon there's nothing of them left.  well soon...in a couple of hundred years
