...So, fellas. On a whim, whilst browsing Fanfiction (it's my only vice, I swear. And tea) I came across a person challenging writers to write 77 chapters with prompts. I'm doing that.

Basically, I'm writing 77 chapters in the life of Lee Jordan, from Harry Potter. And I know people are reading it but no one but the challenger is reviewing... and I mostly write for criticism... (on FF at least, and it's fun) so anyone want to read and review? It's about Lee, but there's a lot of Fred and George. And will be a lot of George, for it's set from their seventh year onwards...
it'd be nice if you read. And told me what you think.

BUT HARRY POTTER FANFICTION IS THE BEST. I find with FF, Harry Potter has the highest proportion of decently written fics... like, Anna Fugazzi is just incredible, Starkiller is pretty awesome, and that Scottish girl who wrote Twin Vice Paranormal Detectives...

I'm pretty sure that's because Harry Potter is one of the largest categories. There's still a whole lot of crap, but there's also more actually good stuff.

I personally adore Nonjon's works and the Denarian Trilogy by Shezza88. The later is a crossover with Dresden Files, but you don't have to have read that to understand what's going on.

Actually, should we start a FanFiction thread? That could be an interesting thing to have.

hello my dear comrades, havent posted in a while, i've just tried writing again and only have a paragraph or two to show for it, most of which i'll probably scrap...besides the fact that twilight got published, any tips on how to convince myself that some of what im writing might not be junk?

Although I hate the man, Bruce Dawe said "We can only write good poetry if we have written bad poetry and learnt from it".

So, read through the things that are junk - analyse it and work out WHAT makes it junk, and make sure you don't make those mistakes next time  grin .
