IGNORE THIS UNTIL FINAL LINE OF POST: But what does the poem MEAN? It rhymes and all, but what are you trying to say? I am thinking that the main idea of the poem is that nuclear power is bad. You are trying to suggest that because no-one likes the radioactive doll, and it kills, that in turn nuclear power kills and is bad - that no-one SHOULD like it. Right? This is only the reading I take. Also, your rhyming further suggests this. The rhyming of the word fame, emphasises the point that the doll is only famous for being radioactive - for being dangerous. And rhyming creation and station reminds the reader how it is artificial and 'unnatural' (it is not, but this will be addressed later). As these are words now associated with bad things (due to the rise in 'organic' food and green stuff. I also know this is the case because of the context of the writer - I know that the poet is a 'greenie'). Also, the physics student inside me is screaming because there is no radioactive glow. Most things have radioactive bits in them...like carrots. Carrots have carbon, some of which is Carbon-14 - which is radioactive. Carrots (nor Bananas for that matter) glow. Just wanted to say that, the 'glowing' of radioactive substances is usually glowing because it is very hot, not because of the radioactivity of it. Like molten lava glows...

Good poem though, very amusing...

...It means nothing. It doesn't have a point, it just.. is.

PEDS IT HAS NO POINT, NO MESSAGE TO STAND THE TIME.

Just because the poet says that it is pointless - doesn't mean that it is. We obviously take different readings of the poem - both of which are right, but mine would get me a better score in an essay...
