...I just got the results back from my MRI. I tore the cartilage and need to have knee surgery to fix it.

Mum's organising the when side of things.
I'd rather not have to have it at all. I hate hospitals.

I HAVE I HAVE OH I HAVE!
Well, from Marvell, yes. We do a whole unit on him and a few others, all about the pastoral. I do like
The Garden
but my favourite quotation from any of the poems I've studied is "Death, thou art a mower too." Makes me chuckle. 'Cause he's like, yeah, it's cool, I'm a mower and I mow - I'M DAMON THE MOWER I'LL SING ABOUT MOWING WITH MY MOWING SONG AND THEN RELATE MYSELF TO DEATH BECAUSE I CAUSE DEATH BUT IT'S FINE BECAUSE DEATH IS A PART OF LIFE. And he's just madly in love with a random woman he's never spoken to but may not exist. And he's like, pretty repressed and pretty arrogant at the same time. And his pain from this random woman makes his whole life, including the past, utterly awful. So he sings to some glow worms.

There's
Damon the Mower
,
The Mower's Song, The Mower to the Glowworms
... think that's about it... She's called Juliana. He's a bit odd.
WOOO! Someone who knows Marvell! I haven't read those! *runs off to read them*
HAHAHAHA "For Death thou art a mower too"
What on earth was with the fairies? He must have been high
Yeah, Juliana. He's one of my favourites <3 It was so much fun to write about him in my Lit exam. The only one I have is
Damon the Mower
Pastoral? I Googled it but it still isn't really making sense, haha. I studied Marvell because of metaphysical poetry. We looked at stuff like
On a Drop of Dew
and
To His Coy Mistress
(oh my God,
that
one had my Lit teacher blushing! It was hilarious)

Is it bad that I haven't even picked the paper up yet...? xD
What is the poem about the woman who he is in love with? Sounds intriguing!
Oh man, you're so dead, haha. Procrastination to the max

The pastoral is like, a whole cultural movement. Like
Tess of the d'Urbervilles
is part of it. I think Tolkien has the greatest pastoral works - The Lord of the Rings, with ideas of the Shire being the best place. It's like being nostalgic for the past with all the shepherds and bountiful farms and the simple life. "A work of literature portraying an idealized version of country life." although it doesn't just have to be literature.
Beethoven did the pastoral symphony...

My thanks Tiggs. I had a decent day (it was mother's day as well though)
It feels the same as it did to be 18 though less of a rush than that Birthday. Just a regular day of being 18. Although now people keep calling me old.

I thought something like that happened. I got the notification but never found it.
Also, while I know that I'm still an immature man child 19 sounds a lot older than 18 and I don't know why. 20 and 21 do the same thing. You have no idea how much of a shock it was to me to realise that a lot of my friends are actually 20.
