So I had the cushiest job ever at Henley Regatta. And the place itself is so funny, you're not allowed in the main area if you're not wearing a blazer and smart shoes and trousers for men, or a below knee skirt or dress for women.
basically, I got 50GBP a day for:
- sitting in a room with rowers on rowing machines and reading
- sitting outside stopping boats mooring at this place and reading
- sitting in the girls' changing rooms and rooms and reading. Although it was weird; all of the world but the Brits appear to be cool with nudity. So I'd look up from my book and this random european girl is completely naked and chatting away to her friend, also completely naked...

JEALOUS. SO VERY JEALOUS. I LOVE long T-shirts. It means I can wear skinny jeans or leggings under them without stressing about it.
Also I finished Avatar, Gyps. Legend of Korra together?

I wish i could be paid 50GBP to do that. . .
@Deena: I don't wear skinny jeans or leggings. . . Especially the leggings. They're jsut not that flattering. Lets do that Dee.

Gypo: I'm sure you'd look fit in leggings.

You want to go to uni in France? Wow. I'd die, but probably because I'm scared of French...
Gypo, I second what Rocket said.

I am staying put for Uni, at least undergrad. We had a talk from Uni of Melbourne - It looked good, but the talk was more aimed at people wanting to go there for undergrad degrees. I think that is stupid. I am doing my first 3 years here in Perth...I don't know why you would run away from your family and people who support you before you turn 18! (yes, WA kiddies finish school young, at least under the old system...)

Totally did the same thing. best decision. Stay at home. Get free food and lodging. saved about 10 grand a year. much much better. I can always go study my post grad somewhere else but for undergrad, while i have no money, Home is where it's at.

I'm sure it'd be cheaper to go to uni in France, but noohoo. I'd really like to go to Oxford, but at any uni I'd study French and German and do a year overseas at both those countries as part of my degree. I'd like to move to Paris after uni. Like when I'm 30. Might not stay there forever though. I LOVE HOME.
