Even though it's freezing in Antarctica at the moment regardless - isn't it the summer season?

And yeah I agree, Rocket, the ending an sometimes take a while to wrap up the loose ends of the plot...

Besides, it's 38 000 words we're talking about, not pages  cheesy

Exactly my thoughts - I think that the book is set in the near future when everything in the world is crumbling apart - hence the creepy night guards and Scout's TV comment.

In regards to Scout's character and the way the chapter's written - I admit that I was a bit confused when I found out who was talking: a new character we hadn't been introduced to before. But I definitely don't think the whole book will be written in her point of view - after all, it's the last book, and will be the longest book he's ever written. That means it has to be epic! So I think he's going to switch around points of view either with each "section" of the book or with each chapter.

Anyway, enough serious talk.
I freaked out hardcore when I found out his plans for Oblivion. And the funny thing is I was in public - alone - when I read it on my Ipad and was trying SO hard to contain my excitement! hahaha, the people around must have thought I was completely insane.
I agree, I'm completely shocked at his pace of writing - 160,000 words in like.. what, a few months? He's nuts, completely and wonderfully nuts. And that's why we love him Smiley

yeah that would make sense that it is in the future...but I thought the gates didn't make you time travel? or was that something AH conveniently left out. Or was it some other random power which made this accident happen? ahhh I really cant wait ^.^

hehe It also took me some time to realise what was happening in that chapter as well. Probably cos I haven't read the books for quite a while now, but it was pretty epic.

I can soo totally imagine myself doing that if I was in public ^.^ luckily for me I read it at home in my office...with the door closed.
Amazing guy ! which is why we all adore him ^.^ and his books ofc :p

Hi Tiggs! Nice to meet you Smiley

About the time travelling doors, yeah that's pretty crazy if they are able to do that as well as transportation. Who knows! I guess we'll just have to wait and find out.
Is anyone else besides me planning on re-reading the entire series before the 5th comes out? I want to be freshened up! haha.

Yeah I'm reading the series again - in fact I just finished!
I dounbt the doors would time travel them because it would be too complicated - time travel creates all this unnecessary complication and is actually really messy and hard to keep in perspective making sense. The story is already quite complicated without multitasking doors as well!!  cheesy

Yeah I think when I re-read them I'll be going "Oh YEAH!" a lot, as I'm remembering events and occurrences, haha.
I just have so much to read right now! I'm afraid I'm only going to get to Raven's Gate in the spring!

My teacher was talking about the Nazca lines in my Universe of the Arts class today, and was saying how they're so mysterious. I couldn't help smiling and thinking "I know what they are! Muahahaha." it was great.

I really cannot wait! I'm mad that I read that chapter because now I want to read the book, I'm so curious about the ending. I've been waiting for this one for so long and I'm so happy that it finally got a release date. Now I only need to re-read every book to freshen up my memory.

The book is coming out in October, it's on that page where you could read the first chapter.
Thanks! I've been on this board for a long time but I just started posting.  cheesy
