By brutal, I meant he showed less mercy to the characters, e.g Jack. You've gotta admit what happened to her wasn't nice...

Wel lfor one we're only told Scorpia is being rounded up and that the leader is already caught. The rest are being "rounded up" and internatinally countires are cooperating but that's Mrs. Jones telling Alan that. Who knows if her info is correct? Personallyh I'd like to see all those evil people that were no the ship in Paris DIE as wel las Alan Blunt.

BTW the Walker books version and the US version differ in a major line: In the US version it says that Alan seemed to know Scorpia was already active in Cairo. In the Walker UK version, it says that Alan thought Cairo College was in danger, the implication being in the US version that Alan KNEW Scorpia's plan, at least in part. It is in the last chapter and that line is different in both.
