No it couldn't have been them. They haven't been in all 8 books.

Julius is pretty much the best name ever created xD Grief, not so much. And I for one, think Julius had everyu right to kill Jack. I would have too. Someone kills my Dad, I kill the closest thing they have to one. Doesn't matter that his Dad was evil, you don't think of your parents as bad or good. Same as I'm sure Paul still loves his Dad after all the Ark Angel business.
OMG! You should be locked up like the crazy freak you are! If your dad was a crazy melomaniach and someone killed him in self defence and the good of the world you would want to torture that person untill he passes out from grief! Your horrible! First  Alex and suicide and now this! It's too much!

Any normal person with a heart wouldn't care. You love your parents even if they're murdurers...they're still your parents. And if you wouldn't there's something wrong with you.

I agree with DON, you have more respect for your parents than is rational, even when it may not be deserved...

If you don't, you're ungrateful. You don't have to love what they do, or agree with it, but you can't deny you wouldn't even BE HERE without them, murderers or not. Look at Alex! When he found out his Dad was a killer, yeah he was bummed out by it but he had so much respect for him just for being his father, he wanted to be just like him no matter WHAT he did, good or bad. Luckily it turned out he wasn't an assassin but still.

I don't even know where to begin....
Alex was influenced into almost being an assassin, besides he's just not cut out for it (thank God). I would have ZERO respect for my parents if they where heart-less murderers.

Of course. Respect, no. No one would. But if you wouldn't still love them to some degree for brining you into this world, you're making all us teens look bad for helping the stereotype that we're all ungrateful. Point is, he was going to DO IT ANYWAY, whether he could kill or not he was going to be with Scorpia because his dad "was".

Eh, it must be a maturity thing I guess. I'm sure you'll learn as you get older. I probably thought the same thing back then.

Maturity? I am really shocked. That hurt. Well, I would not like my parents if they were murderers and that makes me immuture?

It makes you immature if you weren't still grateful to them to some degree. You seem to confuse grateful and like. Of course you don't have to like them. But it wouldn't matter if they killed every other person in your family, you'd still need to be grateful they're the reason you exist. It might not make you completely immature I guess but that would be an immature decision on your part, if you get what I'm saying.

New interview from AH, he just admitted that the first version of Scorpia Rising was MUCH sadder. But his son told him it was too sad so he re wrote it...

I agree, even if your parents were murderers or thieves or something, you might not like them, but you would have at least a small degree of respect for them (unless you're Razim, *shivers*).  After all they would be your parents.

On Topic: Scorpia Rising kind of went over the edge for me.  It seemed to me that AH's main point screaming out of the book was 'This is the END of Alex Rider!!  NO MORE!!!!'  I think AH just might be tired of AR.

I didn't expect Julius Grief at all, though I think he made for a good bad guy.  I think it was way sad when Jack died, although I kinda knew it was going to be her.  What Blunt did was way unexpected, and intolerable.  How can he live with himself?  I never would have thought of Smithers though, wearing the fat suit, I always thought he was just, well, fat.  I mean who would've known?
