What!  People already have the book.  Oh God!  Thank God I didn't read any of your posts.  I want to say so many foul words.  What is this bookstore you Australians have got SR from?

EDIT:  Read your PM DON

yeah.  I would have had it by now if I wasn't on spring break.  I also went to a bookstore tonight while I was out and asked the girl about it and she said she'd see if they had it.  She looked it up and said that it should be in one of two sections, but it wasn't.  So she asked another guy if he knew if they had it and he said they had some books in the back that they hadn't put out yet and asked her if she new the release date and she said it just said March with no date when she looked it up.  But instead of her going to get it she sent the guy to go look in the back and when he came back he said they had it, but that he looked up the release date and it wasn't until the 22nd so he wouldn't give it to me! angry

But I'll have it tomorrow so I suppose it doesn't matter much anyways... cheesy

Haha, I wonder why my store did? Maybe they don't know it's wrong...that or don't care but I want to believe the former. Could also have been a new worker or something when I went to get it, it was a girl my age so, she's probably new. How do you know for SURE your College or whatever will have it?

Well it's not the college bookstore, it's just the bookstore that I'm going to in the city I go to college in.  And when I looked at the bookstore website for the book a few months ago, they had it in the "coming soon" section.  But now, they've switched it to the "New Arrivals" section.  Plus, they're a non-franchise bookstore that just really doesn't care.  They're awesome.  And when you click on the book you can select 'buy now' rather than pre-order like other websites.  Plus, it's status is 'in stock' and it says you can call for availability.

Oh and the guy who wouldn't give me the book tonight was like my age!  I was pretty surprised at his 'I wnat to enforce all of the rules  angry' attitude.

Hmmm it seems like it but don't get too excited just in case. They may possibly just put that because of how soon the release is, however unlikely. Mine was a non-franchise store too, so that could also have something to do with it. One tip: as tempting as it is to read in all one go, or like 8 chapters at a time, DON'T! I read it all in one night from midnight to 6 in the morning and believe me, it won't hit you until you're done but you'll be like " What have I done? This was the LAST AR book ever!" and sadness will rush over you like a waterfall XD Savor it! Tongue

haha that's what I did with the last Harry Potter book.  and it caused me to miss a lot of it's awesomeness.  and then when I went back and read it I was like, dang that book was amazing!  So I'm already planning on taking it slow.  Plus, I'll be on that trip so I will be with friends rather than reading for the majority of my time.

Same here, but I never liked Harry Potter as much so it wasn't quite as sad. They're both great books and I hate when people try to compare. They're really nothing alike, you can't compare two series so different. I mean sure, they both have orphans who are heroes but what young adult novels don't these days  rolleyes I just happen to like action stuff better so AR is more my thing. HP is alright for fights and action, or as good as you can do with explosions from wands and stuff. I also just like realism a bit better.

My family enjoys AR more too, like if I try to explain HP to them, they're like "Oh, it's magic and faries and unicorns"...sounds childish. (Which it isn't but anyone first hearing about the series may think so and turn them off it.) But whenever I tell someone about Alex RIder they can relate to real life, so. What I also like about AR is that no matter what age you are, you'll like it and for different reasons. If you're young, you just love the action and adrenaline of it, but as you get older you start to appreciate the more complex things like politics and world issues and symbolism. So it never gets old.

Hmm nothing except the two main secrets of the book (who dies and smithers secret) and I'm sure you don't want those spoiled Tongue
Oh and the ending you probably don't want spoiled.

But here is a few minor things...

I shouldn't have to do this but SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT (I PUT THIS BECAUSE I WASNT SURE IF YOU WERE SERIOUS OR NOT, WANTING SPOILERS)

Joe Byrne and the CIA is back
Blunt is more evil than you ever imagined (although not with Scorpia or anything, dont worry)
Jack and Alex's troubled relationship is really just because Alex is hanging with his friends too much
Jack's father is dying...
Tom gets shot but not badly hurt
