I had a friend tell me at track practice that She declared today no AH or AR day!First that was not smart because that was at like 3:30. And second that would never ever happen. Not in a million years!

I was getting really frustrated with my brother the other day, cause he's read up to Scorpia in the AR series, and I was dropping a whole bunch of AR related jokes and he just wasn't getting it.  In the end I just gave up cause I was the only one who knew anything.

No he did start to read them but he never really finished the series so I can't talk about stuff from the last 4 books without him asking unnecessary questions.  It's pretty frustrating.  tongue

The last book my dad read was The Homework Machine. No joke. That was like 2 or 3 years ago. But I think if I tried I could get my dad to read them!

Lol, I read that book along time ago. I got almost everyone I know to read at least one AR book.

When I read the chapter 'A Mothers Touch' I cried and my sister was all "your so stupid its just a dumb book"  and I just walked away because I didn't want to get into trouble for hurting her.

My sister got bored by Stormbreaker and didn't even finish the book. It figures that she would though.

This is like the best topic on the board, I love it! grin

my dad has no interest in any type of fictional book and doesnt like me reading them
he wants me to read knowledgeble  books but i just cant leave ar for some stupid encyclopedia!! grin
My dad is like that too.  When I told him I was reading Alex Rider, he was like, 'Why are you reading books like Alex Rider?  You should spend your time wisely.'  And every time I tell my mom about one of the books she kind of raises her eyebrows and tries to look interested.

I actually never planned to read the AR books until I came across Stormbreaker at my Library one day when I was bored, needless to say I wasn't bored for long!  I read up to Scorpia in a week, and all I could talk about was AR this and AR that.  And my sister was like, 'Can you stop talking about Alex Rider??'  So when I was in the middle of Eagle Strike, my sister and I were in the car on the way to her work one day and I started reading it aloud (it was the part with the Bull fight grin), and she was like, 'This is so awesome!' So she read most of them, not all of them, so I have an accomplice. cheesy
