Did I hear someone saying that they do not like the beep test?! Is that the running thing where you gradually get faster? I love that thing! Such a workout!!!  grin We did it last year but not this year  sad

I got 7.6 in my beep test today. I would have made 9, but I got a really painful ankle and had to pull out...

Me annoyed  sad

I'm just going to cough really loudly about this being the Lounge. Cough. Cough. COUGH COUGH COUGH.

I think my throat is sore. Ahem. I am not looking forward to athletics on the first day back...

That is three sentences! And you only have 3 in your post...so we are equal! And Abraham Lincoln would be most annoyed that you are limiting the possibilities for highly word-effective speech!

I technically have 7! If you count the full stops. How long are you in Paris for?

A sentence must have a verb. "Cough." is not a sentence. A word or some words between two full stops is not always a sentence.

One week...

Cough is a verb! Haha. Well, you have a long time in Paris!

I am currently charging my iPod and phone so I am ready.

I love music. So I have been bringing my iPad around with me quite a lot. Who else here likes Green Day or Simple Plan? Or both?!

Rocket, you were using cough as a noun on those phrases. If you had said "I cough" or "to cough" then it would have been okay...

I have all my music on my iPad now...so I could bring minimal devises to France...Paris was great Rocket, now with exchange family...

Had no time...we were so busy there...

But the city I am in now is quite big, and I think I spotted a stationeary shop when I walked around....

If I was part of a large group on the metro, then it was me (unless you saw me and my two friends sneaking off to museums when everyone else was shopping...again).

Hahaha it wasn't you then. When you didn't respond the my random words then I gathered it wasn't you. Have you been to the Chateau? Also, if you want some really good stationery for stuff, go to a big Monoprix. They have pads of Clairefontaine Triomphe there - Clairefontaine is by far the best paper for Fountain pens. They're quite lucky in France because their normal stationery is made by Clairefontaine, so it's really quite cheap. You can also buy matching envelopes for the paper.

And be sure to get some Rhodia stuff. Their notebooks and stuff are made by Clairefontaine also, but their paper is not as smooth. However, they're stuff is all orange and black. I got a Rhodia Webbie for five euro's and in England Rhodia webbies cost eight pounds. All in all, I bought 10 notebooks in monoprix, all made by Clairefontaine and Rhodia and it came to thirty euros, which is really cheap. And I got 2 bottles of Herbin ink from a different store.

Sorry about the massive stationery post, haha, can you tell I'm addicted to it? I have 11 bottles of ink...

There is a monoprix in the town where my exchange guy lives! There is also a stationary mega store. Going to check them both out when I have topped up my card with money. Rhodia pads do look sexy. I have long admired them, and want to get 6...which is a lot to carry...so I will likely just get two...but I know where to order them online...for $10 (about 7?).

I too love stationary! We should make a stationary thread, although at fear that would totally kill the lounge. It kinda annoys me that we have topics for most things now. It would be great if we could have free flowing conversations that went anywhere, without a "this should probably go in the philosophy topic..." post (a post of which I am guilty of) ...

Oooh let me know what they have in the mega stationery store. Do you know what it's called? I tend to sit online and just look at stationery. I bought 7 Clairefontaines and 3 Rhodias... They all looked at me as if I'd never seen stationery before haha.

Have you seen the Noodler's Ahab pens, and how you can write with them? I am long lusting after one...

Make sure you try an ink that has amazing shading, it's so worth it. My Gris Nuage shades loads and it looks really pretty!

My mother said she'd buy me a Montblanc for my birthday... I am pretty excited. It's one pen I don't have to lend to anyone (because then my nib'd break) and ahhhh....

Have you seen the Visconti Homo Sapien Pens? They're made out of 50% lava from Mount Etna so they're apparently unbreakable.

I'd love a stationery thread.... But the Lounge'll do!
