But you have to admit, having a spin-off for some random, BARELY important character is kind of stupid. There's so many bigger importance characters that could have a spin off book. Like John Rider or heck, even Ian is as important as Yassen. I never understood why people regard Yassen as an important character. Unless something extraordinary is revealed in Scorpia Rising (like if he is alive and comes back and more stuff happens) then he doesn't deserve a book in my opinion. Sorry to Yassen lovers!

Trust me, I really want a book about John or Ian. Yassen actually is fairly important though. He's an assassin that keeps cropping up and when he dies, he sends Alex to Scorpia. I mean, look at Eagle Strike! He was pretty involved in that book. There's just something about him that makes him important, really.
John and Ian are barely mentioned, yet they are still considered very important. Way more important than people like Blunt or Mrs. Jones who are in every single book.

I an, I agree. But actually, sometimes I think the series is more about John Rider than it is about Alex. He's already more important than Yassen automatically, since he's Alex's father. And half the time, the point of the books seem like the whole point of this series is for Alex to learn more about his parents but more specifically his father. So to me he seems almost as important as Alex is and definitely deserves a series more. Ian though, just seems like he was only even introduced to set up the Stormbreaker storyline. Besides that, he seems very irrevalant.

But somehow i think that there's supposed to be a certain amount of mystery surrounding John. As for Yassen... He just is important, he is in a way Alex's arch enemy and there probably will be something involving him in SR. Which is why there has to be a book about him: to tie it all together. Makes sense?

IF there is more about Yassen in SR, then I will probably agree that he deserves a book. But if there is little to nothing about him, then wow I think that's a terrible decision to pick over John.

I think there has to be. And i also think that he will come back (alive). He has to!
P.S. I don't like Yassen that much, it's just whenever i think about him coming back... It just seems like that has to be what AH will do! Of course I'm probably wrong.

I agree he has to come back. But it makes me sad to think, if he does, ASH won't. Both of them need more book time.

As much as i want Ash to be alive (way more than Yassen). In my heart i don't think he'll be coming back. It's sad think that he really is dead.

Yeah, it fits for him to be really dead more than Yassen. But I can see some awesome saving Alex's life scenario and THEN actually dying, to repay his debts.

It just sucks because I know right now, mostly everyone hates ASH, you're one of the only people along with me who don't
So if he never gets a redemption, everyone will continue to hate on him! Oh well...

If you've read the the bonus Snakehead chapter: Coda, you know that Ash was remorseful for killing Alex's parents. And somehow i felt sorry for him more than i did for say... Peter Pettigrew. I just like Ash in a way i don't for any of the other characters. I guess that's because at some point all of us have made a mistake and been treated badly because of it...

Oh yeah, I know about Coda, but people still figure feeling sorry isn't good enough. But I agree with Ash, since they were going to die anyway even if he wasn't the one to do it, why not save his own life in the process? Anyone would have panicked and done that.

(Sigh) I feel sorry for Ash, it's so bad... I wish he could have been used a bit more though.
I just wish people didn't hate him so much.

I didn't like Ash much. Probably because he was such a dirty traitor. I would rather he stayed dead. As for John and Ian...... they never actually in the books, but they seem so important. *shrugs* I don't know why though.
