Well so far there hasnt been much torture. Based on that, there probably won't be much more.
sadly i would have to agrre, this is after all a children's story, so dont think too much torture is allowed. if there is, it would be rated T, and dont thik AH would want it to be T (a lot of young kids read the series, i mean winner of the gadget comp was a 9 year old i think)
....young adult. not children.

this is why i sometimes prefer adult books (they can freely talk about torture which is good but they also freely talk about other things which is not so good) but i would read Alex Rider over Dawinchi code anyday

Nah, I'd prefer teen fiction over adult fiction... And yes, Da Vinci Code just looks so boring...

Danvimci code is really slow but a good plotline. it is the only adult book i have read (without counting the classics) but yeah i prefer teen fiction(like i said before.)we are going off the topic here smiley
ok people what do you think the torture would be in SR. use your imagination to the fullest.(on second thought, dont, some people might get offended smiley)
it is set in egypt in case someone dont know. *awsome location for terrible torture evil*

Ya, he could be strapped down and forced to lay on the burning sand at noon, in the middle of the desert. With no water or food.

one of my torture theories was similar. he being put into a metal shed for like two days with no water or anything.sort of got the idea from a cherub book. and since Cairo is right next to the nile, maybe i can i can think of something original  and really bad evil hmmmm........(i hope AH would think something much better than mine though. cheesy

I had the same idea, but I got it from the holocaust.

I think a better torture would be if he was strapped down and had to watch them torture or kill Sabina or Jack.  Mental/emotional torture is always more effective than physical torture.

true, but where is the fun in that? evil smiley unless the Scorpia wants to break him which they probably would want. but if they are going to use an assasin, i'm pretty sure he wouldn't pass a chance to torture him physically as well. but to be honest, i sort of like that mental/emotional torture.
there is this book where this guy got tortured by staring in to a blinding light for days.he ended up being blind and sort of lost his memory. i dont like that physiscal torture. it is just too cruel.  sad
i don't think AH is allowed to use most of the torture we were talking about sad. then the book will be R  or MA rated. cheesy

I mean, I guess AH wouldn't want to take things too far since they are read by kids.  But I don't think having Alex see someone he loves die would be any different than the other deaths as far as violence levels go.  And we don't even have ratings on books here.

Starvation and dehydration are better than watching people kill someone you care about. Alex might be framed... He might be framed for murder, theft, something like that undecided

I said I'd prefer mental torture over physical torture, but not when the mental torture is to see someone you love die before your eyes, or worse......being forced to kill them yourself.
