It does say Crocodile tears discussion and REVIEWS. what else would be in here? To review and discuss a book would mean it involves actually talking about the contents, if they are silly enough to look, keep on reading after the first few post that make it clear its going to have spoliers through the topic, its there own fault and instead of writing "no spoilers please" they SHOULD JUST STOP READING IT ALREADY.
I find it more annoying when they complain about us spoling it for them, we arent making them read.

I'm glad Smithers was in it. I LOVE smithers. The tea would probably come out of the computer mouse haha.
And I like how smithers sent him chocolates, and jacks comment on them

smithers is SO AWESOME!

14 yearold boys doing homework as soon as they get home. I agree, stupidity!

I did remind everyone in my first post...but I think that everyone who has read to this point and has not read the book is stupid and annoying. So please dont ruin our discussion and post something like "Guys, can you please stop saying spoilers!"

I edited the first post a bit, to show that this is a spoliers allowed thread. But i think it's pretty clear from the title.

I love the "Pure Torture" chapter! Its amazing! It was written really well, very edge of your seat.

Wow, 3 censors in a single post? Edit, please!

But you ARE reading the topic which allows spoilers... Dude, you're cutting off the branch you're sitting on....

Hah! Yeah, homework straight away... I know 3 people who do that. That's 3... from a year of 180, and maybe a couple more from other years.... but most of the people from other years that I know are fairly geeky.
Me? Oh you all know how late I leave mine... xD

I agree, that was very funny!

Grimm: IF YOU HAVE READ ANY OF OUR POSTS IN THE LAST PAGE YOU WILL SEE THIS IS A SPOILER ALLOWED TOPIC! This means THAT PEOPLE ARE ALLOWED TO POST SPOILERS WITHOUT SPOILER WARNINGS. BECAUSE THE PEOPLE READING AND POSTING IN THIS TOPIC HAVE READ THE BOOK!

One of my fave lines was "What about my cards?" They line that spoiled it all for alex!

You have to remember that homework is a bit of a novelty to Alex. Most of the time he's fighting assassins.

but that has only been the past year, he had homework for ages before then...

At my school they only give you a TINY bit of homework until you get to year 5. it hated doing that TINY bit (it was usaly given to you to do at home because you could not get it done at school). so homework being a novelty is not something that affects this. I think it was just AH being bribed by some teachers to say "Alex rider does his homework" to get the millions who read AR to do homework...jokes

Then why are you on this topic if it annoys you so much? Some people have read it an want to discuss it, if you havent read it too bad. Grow up, its time you realise the worl doesnt evolve around you, you are not the only member on this board.

I laughed for a good 5 minutes!! sad I know, but I wasnt expecting it.
Homework is evil!!! But Alex has to do homework because he missed so much school and doesnt want to fall behind, either that or Ian used to make him lol

I finished the book last night and think its the best AR book so far. Infact, one of AH's best books. I'll warn, incase some people still dont know, that this is a spoiler thread and will contains lots of spoilers. This post will contain lots of CT spoilers.

I think it esaily beats the others in the series, with a better plot and some of the best scenes of the AR series.

Faviourite parts: Lots! The car underwater chapter becasue it was a great atmosphere, it was like you were there. The Greenfields, mainy the poison dome scene, becasue it, again, felt like you were there. Also the invisible man chapter, i didnt feel that sorry for the journalist but it was good, how his identity is taken piece by piece. The way Alex is taken to Kenya, that was really good! And the pure torture chapter it was written really well. The climax and the end was very good too.

About end of the series:well at the end, Jack says that soon it would be Alex's birthday, like in a few days. So unless, the next one starts at the hospital and finishes by the time's Alex is 15, it could be the last book about AR. But, i still dont think it is.

I loved it sooo much. But it was not my favourite in the series (that would have to be Scorpia & Snakehead)
I think it's funny the way all the crazy bad guys in the books boast about their plans before trying to kill him, it happens every time!!!
My favourite part was the bits with Harry Bullman. Hee hee hee!! grin the end was good too. smiley
did anyone have a favourite part that hasn't been mentioned yet?

Anna wink

Be awesome! Be a book nut! - Dr Seuss

« Reply #29 on: November 19, 2009, 02:30:24 AM »

I LOVED the 'What about my cards?' line - you just KNOW he's going to waste them both!! (James Bond WISHES he was that cool! LOL Wink) And the LUNATICS thing - LMAO *LOVES Alex!!* so clever!

I also loved Alex going all awkward and shifty-eyed at the announcment about the new science block. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA ahh that was classic.

And didnt you just LAUGH when the kid asks 'Whats that?' and Dr Bennett answers 'We call it the Poison Dome...'
I actually groaned, half-laughing, 'Alex is soooooo going to end up in there...!!!!!'
