In the cinema here (well the counter girl) said it was 3 hours...

Different countries have different versions of it?? :O Cuz it'd be kinda awkward if we have to watch it like a million times...

I HIGHLY doubt many of you would have watched storm warrior. I dont even think it'd be out there...its a chinese movie ^^...the only reason I watched it was because I nearly failed my mandarin this year..so I'll try and summarise it

SPOILER
Umm well china is about to fall into the hands of the evil guy (whose name I forgot alrady...proves how much I payed attention in it) who has a son named Heart and I think two powerful people Earth and Sky I think (whose powers have something to do with that)and the powerful legend Nameless (what sorta name is nameless???) is against them but his power was badly used up so its up to his assistants, the brothers Wind and Cloud to save the world and stuff. But this time the evil guy got a new smancy armour that blocks the attacks but has a weakness...Cloud is trained by Nameless to become more powerful while Wind resorts to darkness to become more powerful...

I cant really tell more than that because I sorta fell asleep :X...but I remember in the end Cloud has to fight Wind who was overwhelmed by darkness and wind was saved but cloud is missing/fell of the cliff and cloud's girlfrien Chi Chi was killed in the fight....dont ask...if it somehow comes out where you all live, unless you like weird chinese 'masters of the elements" movies with too much effects DONT WATCH IT...

Cheesy I saw St Trinians two days ago... it's great! xD Only David Tennant in it... He's got a really posh accent, and it's horrible. I prefer his real accent...
yeah, it's great! Haha, when there was the eco-freaks as a new 'clique' in the school, I looked at my friend and we were like "that's us!"

I saw it yesterday. Despite the accent, he was a brilliant baddie. I also liked the film because it's quite different to the usual films that come out. I wasn't expecting much, but it actually made me laugh.

I haven't even heard of that film! undecided

Speaking of films i really want to see though (oh, weren't we speaking of it? Well, we are now! xD)

A Christmas Carol - Shush! I just want to see it already!
Avatar - my brother's been going on and ON about it and i want to know what the fuss is about already.
Alvin and the Chipmunks 2 - need i say more?!
2012 - just because i haven't seen it yet ...
The Vampire's Assistant (Cirque Du Freak) - it's Cirque Du Freak!

Movies i HAVE seen recently:

Tormented. BBC horror film starring Alex Pettyfer (oh, all right already! The only reason Tia and i watched it was for Alex Pettyfer -__-).

It sucks though. Typical blood-and-gore sort of thing, blah blah. Made me laugh alot ... also, erm, just a tad not-for-kids (i know it's a bit rich coming from me, but hey, i didn't know ... )

Also: Wild Child (coincidentally, starring Alex Pettyfer! rolleyes not that, you know, he's Tia's new obsession or anything ...)

Also very cliche, heck of alot better than Tormented, though. Fairly interesting.

(i lie. The two movies sucked, only reason i kept watching them was for Alex Pettyfer)

AH HA HA HA HA

Oh, laugh!

Not that I SHOULD, seeing as I knew exactly what both those movies were the second you said them because I know that they star Alex Pettyfer, and I read the whole plot synopsis of the latter one just to see where he came in, and watched the trailer just to catch a glimpse... *intense HO HUM*

I also would NOT at ALL happen to know that he's in a new movie called Beastly which is based on a book by the same name and is a modern take of the Beauty and the Beast story.......... THOUGH, I can pass off knowing THAT because it also stars NPH... which combined with the fact the book is supposed to be actually really GOOD, would make it 'HMM interesting maybe it'll be cool!' ... EXCEPT the Beauty of the piece is the chickadee from High School Musical (Vanessa Hu.. whatever). BLEEEEERGH.

*coughs*

Because I, naturally, was so not ever slightly obsessed with Alex Pettyfer.

*cough* *So did no see Stormbreaker four times in two days when it came out in the cinemas, even though it is a horrendous and APPALLING movie...*

*clears throat* Hem hem. Ignoring all that. I REALLY want to see A Christmas Carol tooooooo!!! EXTRA EXTRA MUCH. But I dont know if/when I will...

Urgh, Avatar... I really don't like the look of it. Looks bland and not enough action. However, this is my view of it with seeing the trailer. I haven't seen the film..

Not enough action!
There is tons of action! It doesnt show much in the trailer but there is lots, even a big battle scene at the end.

Aw, c'mon, the trailer doesn't look bland in the least OR unaction-y! (unless you saw a different one..? xD) i actually didn't want to see it because it looked TOO creepy/exotic and action-y ...

But it's number one in the box office, and everyone says it's amazing, so i suppose i shall have to go *sigh*

@Arrow: Teehee, you know what i mean then! xD Ah, the joys of AP obsession ... (of which i am innocent. Blame Tia) .... but also! Who's NPH?? (and maaaaaaaaaaaaaaybe i heard about Beastly too cool ... *cough*)

Alvin and the Chipmunks 2 - need i say more?!
The Vampire's Assistant (Cirque Du Freak) - it's Cirque Du Freak!
Alvin and the Chimpunks 2..CUTEEEE I watched it and honestly the chimpets dance like Beyonce lol! And Britney is voiced by CHRISTINA APPLEGATE

The Vampire's Assistant..it's funny but the second half WAS COMPLETELY NOT FOLLOWING THE BOOK. Mr Tiny's like on the vampaneze side instead of being neutral, since when was Murlough like Mr Tiny's minion sorta (I dont know the word), the little people act/look (in my opinion) like chimpanzees >.< Oh wasnt Darren like 13 around that when he was blooded...not 16? The actor for him seemed sorta...I dunno...not really expressive..And debbie got replaced by monkey girl Rebecca. But it was funny (LOL STUDY,JOB, KIDS, STUDY,JOB,KIDS XDXD)and I think people who hadnt read the second book onwards would love this movie. And the graphics in the beginning (the black and white puppet people thingy) was AMAZING. If only they had graphics like that for every movie...

And Madame Octa is so COOL AND CUTEEE!!

Sherlock Holmes- I LOVED it it's my favourite of the 3 movies. i don't really have anything to say (other than it's AWESOME) I couldn't help notice that the little 'mystery' when Lord Blackwood (or Black something I already forgot >.<)died then came back from the dead-the answer's in darren shan LOL

Avatar has plenty of action! Most of it is at the end though, so 2 hours and 40 minutes will go by before you see the majority of it xD Avatar was a really good movie though - as far as visual effects went! The way they created Pandora made me want to live there xD Plot-wise it wasn't that great though, it was kind of predictable.

I really want to go see "Daybreakers" - it sounds like it'll be pretty good. It definately breaks the mold of most of the recent vampire movies

Avatar is FREAKING AMAZING.

I've seen it twice now, once in 2D and then in 3D, and duh-ude. It's absolutely mindblowing.

Not enough action?!?!!?! There's a flipping EPIC BATTLE!! O.O

Oh, and, just by the way, it's now the second highest grossing movie ever made. It just passed LOTR ROTK, to take second place. And it's been out three weeks.

That means (in case you dont know) it's made the most money, globally. ROTK made $1.1 billion. Titanic - still at the top - made $1.8 billion. I think Avatar's now on $1.3 or something. And it's been out. THREE. WEEKS!!!! I mean, holy freaking guacamole!! It's going to pwn Titanic.

If you haven't seen it, see it. There's a reason for that statistic Wink

If you don't get what it's about or something (or need MORE reason!) this is a really cool extended trailer (don't worry, no big spoilers or anything) -
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cRdxXPV9GNQ

@bingo - Neil Patrick Harris, an actor... you know him or you dont I guess... did you watch Dr Horrible? I think I sent you the links - he's, well, Dr Horrible.

Yeah! I saw Avatar last weekend. I like whatever the word was that the blue girl called him that meant ,like "idiot" or something. There wasn't many scenes where the 3D was really cool though. (besides that finall battle)I also think that they killed people who really didn't need to be killed. I liked that lady that drove the airplane. She made me laugh. What do you guys think about Avatar?

Hey scorpia224!! Welcome to the board!

Hmmm I'm thinking you might want to add spoiler warnings to that post - they're not very major spoilers, but if anyone who's really anticipating it but hasnt seen it yet reads it they might be a little annoyed cheesy

You can do that (add spoiler warnings) by clicking 'modify' at the top right of the post.

**MILD AVATAR SPOILERS**
The word is "skxawng" - tho they pronounce it more like 'sk-ow-n' - and it meant 'moron'. That CRACKED ME UP too!! cheesy cheesy (and the blue girl is Neytiri, for the record! rolleyes) And the pilot, Trudy, she was great! ("...Oops." cheesy)
A lot of people did seem to die, but I think it was necessary... they needed it to be really truly hopeless, and to raise the scale of it, you know? if no one (I mean no characters that you know and care about) gets hurt, you don't feel the intensity of the fight nearly so much. And they had to be completely out of options and have no hope left for the... next development to mean so much =)

..new film I must see....Killing Bono.
About... a classmate of Bono, who also wanted to be a rockstar Neil McSomething (Ben Barnes ?), who sets up a band with his brother Ivan (Robert Sheehan) and more.... mainly about the early history of U2. But it's got Robert Sheehan, so it'll be hilarious.. Cheesy
