Be awesome! Be a book nut! - Dr Seuss

« Reply #30 on: December 15, 2009, 01:26:55 PM »

Oh, my god, I do that to people ALL the time. Ie. go nuts at them liking something - or even having HEARD of something - that I love.... ALL. THE. TIME. Seriously.

...Thinking on it, why am I saying this?? a whole lot of the 'people' Im talking about are on this fourm...!!

Im going to the movies on Friday (WHOOT!) and Im gonna see either The Time Traveller's Wife or Avatar... Dont know which yet. I REALLY want to see both and the people Im going with dont mind either way... so it's a really hard choice =S

Everyone here's all 'WHOO' over Lovely Bones at the moment... cos it just premiered... and it's Peter Jackson... and all that... meh. The book is so stupid! It starts okay but DUDE it just loses all point and purpose half way, and the ending is a shambles!!!

They're all trying to stir up Oscar buzz for it but even Peter Jackson's just like AVATAR FTW!! L.O.L.

I think it looks really bad! But all y friends want to see it...
But on Sunday we're seeing St Trinians 2 Cheesy

And.. Has anyone read the Uglies Series by Scott Westerfield? Apparently the first one (Uglies) is being made into a film, released 2011.

I saw Avatar today. It was AMAZING!
The best 3D film this year! It seemed so real, like i was on Pandora with them. The landscape was amazingly beautiful, a thousand times more so than a rainforest and the animals were so realistic, at one point i started trying to swat flies away... and the sounds effects were great as well, one bit they were in a helicopter and you could her all this stuff clanking in the back round and it seemed as if you were on it, seriously everyone was looking around for the sounds...
The plot and acting was amazing too. The one bad thing was it was really long. Four hours.
It sent an amazing message too. We think we can take what we want and not have consequences, but their are consequences, our planet is dieing! we need to change, fast!

My friend said it was really good. You just confirmed it-tho do I really trust the girl who thinks she's a teen spy (I think it comes when you go to secondary school) and the twilight fan?

ANSWER: HELL YEA!

I was suppose to watch it today....but the girl at the counter HAD to mention how long it was. So I'm watching it on Monday.

Instead I had to watch Storm Warrior. LOATHED every minute of it. It's not that it's bad-I cant place my finger on what's wrong with it. But I know its one of these options: Too many effects or too many effects is one place. Or maybe I don't like flying kung fu movies? But I did like avatar:last airbender....The actors were great tho. I dont really know why I didnt like the movie

OH MY GOSH!!!

I saw Avatar yesterday, and IT'S FREAKING AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SERIOUSLY. And I didnt even see it in 3D!! (the cinema isnt that cool =/) but WOW WOW WOW!!!!!! Freaking AWESOME movie.

The one I saw was only 2 1/2 hours though. undecided is it really different in 3D then?!?! Like, with more plot?! I hope not...!!

@ Anon - Wait til you see LOTR 2 and 3!!!!!!!!!! SO. FREAKING. EPIC. Honeslty. The DEFINITION of epic. Not exaggerating!!!
I wouldnt worry about reading the books first, it's not that kind of thing - I know that sounds really weird (I mean, how can ANYTHING not be 'that kind of thing!!' if it's an adaptation, it's an adaptaion, right?) but seriously, you dont need to have read the books, and seeing the movies won't spoil the books at all. At ALL. (I saw the movies, hmm, 20 times haha before reading the books!!)

*has LOTR squee moment* MAN, those movies are INCREDIBLE. Actually the best ever. Im not exaggerating this time either. They are so fantastic they're leagues ahead of ALL other movies. I own the box set of all three extended editions and have seen them soo many times (even though all 3 is over 10 hours all up!!) and still just LOVE them.

I don't know but it might be... i don't want to ask how the normal one ended cause it would spoil it though. And I know it is SO awesome, you should try and see it in 3D! Just imagine it! For all those little action bits it feels like you're there(like spoiler warning!!
when he choses hids banshee(those flying reptile like things) and flys on it), after the movie my heart was pounding.
I havent seen Storm Warroir. Whats it about?
