Spam is a mixture of Ham and Bacon and usually cpmes in a tin  cheesy
Or, forumwise, its posts that are only made to boost post count, and usually conain a lot of smileys or posts unrelated stuff to the matter. E.g. If I were to post in the ALex Rider topic, I like Banana's, that would be counted as spam.

Until you reach 15 posts, you can't edit your profile, send personal messages, start a new topic... that sort of thing. Once you've put the thought into 15 posts about AHs books (as Rocket said, not in the General Discussion area of the forum) then you can do all those things and more cheesy

Dont worry, there are literally hundreds of discussion threads on dozens of aspects of all AHs books - so it's pretty easy to get that many posts once you look around, and start posting your thoughts and joining in the conversations!!!

What's the school project about? sounds interesting XD tell us what you want to know and we'd be glad to help out if we can!

Haha I tried wikipedia too, but it only confirmed what I thought from my personal knowledge - he's always been a writer. But he's both an author and a screenwriter, if that helps. I think he wrote TV shows - ie. Midsomer Murders - before becoming a novelist. Though he STILL writes TV shows - and movies and short stories and plays and all sorts!!

His first book was published in 1978 so he would have been 22 - before that I'd imagine he was just at University. Especially since his family was pretty upper-class, and he's quite educated.

I dont know the details of your project, but if I were you I'd try making the project on him as An Author, and then using his screenwriting credits to answer that question. Would that work?
