Totally gross sometimes. Everybody should read it. After they turn 16 at the very least.
Because of you know, what Dilan just said.
Also read Wheel of Time. It's much less gross and Just as awesome. Also the last book is coming out this year. Also, The Author is already dead so you don't have to worry about that. I'm honestly kind of concerned about George R R Martin pulling a "Robert Jordan". Actually, a "David Gemmell" would be worse. Troy didn't end that well.

Ha! Inceeeeest.
But I'm about to start A Clash of Kings. I'm behind you! But will hopefully catch up soon. Jon's my favourite so far.
Jon is AWESOME. He's like, everyone's favorite. I also love Daenarys and Arya. And Sansa's bits are interesting, too.
Theon, also. Sigh.

Wait, let me get this straight. The last book is coming out this year but the author is dead?!

Brandon Sanderson (who's work you should also read along with Mr Patrick Rothfuss) is writing the last three books using Mr Jordan's extensive notes. You can hardly notice the change in writer at all. He's quiet talented.

See, I got up to book 9 on Wheel of Time and gave up and struggled through the Name of the Wind. I'm not sure what it is :/
Possibly because I started disliking Rand.

Oh yeah, He becomes a massive A-hole Then Tam has a Chat with him and the Bullying Aes Sedai and things sort of even out.
You didn't like the Name of the Wind?

Yeah! Kvothe is really annoying. At least, I think so. I have this problem with books when I start disliking the main character. It's okay if I'm ambivalent towards the protagonist, but if I dislike him/her.. well, it just becomes impossible to read.

I liked him. I mean not at the beginning. At the beginning he's all mysterious and angry. His childhood thing is also annoying. It really picks up when he goes to the university though.

Being judgmental in the way I am about characters, if I start off disliking a character, I find it hard to continue on to like them. Sometimes, I can, but usually I just get peeved. Case in point - Roran in Inheritance.

Oh, please. Inheritance in Inheritance. The entire series annoyed me after "The Inheritance Trilogy has now become the Inheritance Cycle." YEAH?! YEAH?! NO, REALLY?!
Plus, how could you hate Roran and not Eragon?! Or Arya, for that matter. Urgh, just -wills self to avoid Paolini rant-.

Oh, I do dislike Eragon 'OH woooeee is meee! I'M IN LOVE WITH AN EEEEELLLLFFFF' I mean come on. You ride a DRAGON!
Arya. Yeah. I still keep forgetting her name, she made that little of an impression. He really should have ended the series after Eragon.

Thanks! xD But let's face it, everyone's Paolini rants are hilarious. We're just amazing at making fun of him on this board. Exhibit A:

See?! :L "WOE IS MEE, I RIDE AN ELF"
... wait, I got that wrong.
Although, technically, he DOES want to ride an elf, he he he.
But yeah. Inheritance Cycle was terrible. It truly truly was. It hit a high point with Eragon and the lowest point with Brisingr. After Brisingr, there was just no recovery.
/Paolini mini-rant.

I actually thought Inheritance was good. I would actually recommend it if one didn't have to battle through Eldest and Brisingr to get to it...

Yeah, exactly. Inheritance is a battle won but Brisingr cost him the war.
He should have thought of that somewhere in the midst of typing up 900 pages' worth of "nothing-really-happens-in-this-book-but-I-want-more-monehhh-so-let's-extend-this-to-another-book-look-Eragon's-reflecting-look-Roran-doesn't-know what-zombies-are-look-at-the-dragons-dragons-have-hearts-did-you-know-that-i-saw-that in-a-movie-once-look-Eragon-doesn't-get-Arya-ha-ha-ha-ha-I-love-teasing-you-guys-about-that-one-they don't-even-get-to-first-base-look-Saphira's-a-dragon-in-case-you-didn't-know-I-don't-really-know-what else-I-can-put-in-Brisingr-but-okay-right-click-synonym-that's-a big-word-okay-I'll-use-that-it-makes-the book-bigger-look-more-moneys-for-me."

I didn't mind Brisingr, considering how much I hated Eldest. I honestly remember only Eragon lamenting about Arya. Is that all he does? Inheritance shall leave with me the strangeness of communicating with a dragon heart. But then I suppose, we all read it right? Kind of like how I managed to make my way through Twilight, despite
hating
Breaking Dawn.
