No, I haven't
Who likes Maximum Ride?
Anyone know what the next book after 'School's Out -Forever' is?

Maximum Ride's okay. The book after 'School's Out - Forever' is 'Saving The World and Other Extreme Sports'. I have read all of the Maximum Ride books, except for the last one which hasn't been published yet.

No. 'Nevermore' is the last book, it hasn't come out yet. 'Angel' is the one before 'Nevermore'.

The first 3 Max Ride books are okay. Saving the world and other extreme sports is incredibly anti-climactic. Then from the 4th one onwards, they are all crap. The 4th one has a villain...we never know about his history, or why he is so evil...he is just the bad guy! After reading the 4th, I decided not to go on as bingo explained that they ONLY GOT WORSE. With Max ride...quite while you're ahead.
The idea for the books may be decent, but their plot and writing are terrible...
Also, I read the latest Matthew Reilly book. It was fabulous! Matthew Reilly is the most awesome author when it comes to action...

Urgh, yeah, I gotta agree with Pedro. The first three Max Ride books were great. After that, it just becomes horrible, like someone else is writing them or something. Can't stress that enough...
So, hey, a book I'd recommend? The Name of the Star by Maureen Johnson. It's not the world's greatest book, but it's quite nicely written, especially for people who enjoy Cassandra Clare's stuff :3 It's about an American girl who goes to boarding school in Britain, but there's a twist: A Jack-the-Ripper copycat is out again in the London streets, and it's quite good.

What..? Really? Is that when he, like, teams up with another author? Frankly, I think thats kinda stupid. If I did that, I wouldn't feel a sense of achievement and call that book/series mine.

Yeah, I heard that he actually does get other people to write his books. Quite frankly, I can't say how much I hate that. It's so sloppy, lazy, irritating and it shows in the quality of his work. It's basically making writing a book an industrial job and not a work of art. Urgh, he annoys me so much.

Oh, thank you!
Glad you liked it!
I don't know if it's motivation... maybe he's just too motivated to make money or something.

I read this recently too! I sooo reckon she ends up with the S-man in the end though. Like, the next book.

James Patterson releases a new book every 2-3 months. 50% however, he only co-writes. However, he gets all the credit, when he most probably comes up with a one page summary of the book and gets someone else to write it. Another way it may be done is for the co-author to write the whole thing, then Patterson to edit it before sending it to the editor. For example, here is a novel written by Howard Roughan.
The books not co-authored are most probably ghost-written. Link:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghostwriter
Anyway, James Pattersons ghost writers are terrible at writing. The other explanation is that he does actually write his books, and because he writes them so fast, they turn out like crap.

THAT IS SO UNFAIR! Urgh, and I thought I couldn't hate him more. I love how it says, "From the world's greatest thriller writer" underneath, too. What an idiot.

...is it sad I've forgotten who the S-man is supposed to refer to? xD When's the next book coming out, though? I'd be quite eager to read it.

Sorry, Stephen! That was his name right? The main guy. At first I was wondering if it were a spoiler, but realised that because I'm only musing, it doesn't count.
And it only says 'forthcoming' for The Madness Underneath
