DONT SPOIL MOCKINGJAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I HAVENT READ ALL OF IT YET!!!!!!!

[quoteGale is bad ass?! Dude, Peeta WON THE HUNGER GAMES! He has a fake leg!

Besides, Gale doesn't really do anything. He's pretty predictable as a character. I won't say he's two-dimensional, because he isn't, but his character is very clear and set from the start. He's the warrior-noble-hunter-boy-at-home][/quote]

thats the point. its like he has no soul practically he's all business, was peta working in district 12's mines? Nope, he was a fricken baker. the only thing that brings Gale's actual soul or feelings out is katniss. seriously if katniss died peta would be crying gale would be rasing hell and killing snow. DO NOT SPOIL MOCKINGJAY!

.. What?! No!!! Don't let that get you down and how could you like Gale?! ... but Mockingjay really was an amazing book. Truly. You won't be able to let go after the first page.

Don't worry, I'm still going to read it. That is when I'm not 55th in line to get it from the library.

I really like this book. I have read two books, because the third hasn't yet came  to here. I tried to find english version in London when I was there in summer, I didn't find.

I like Peeta more than Gale! So belong to Peeta team, of course!

Excellent! Heh heh heh.

Honestly, though, I hope if/when a Hunger Games movie comes out it isn't centered around "Team Peeta!" and "Team Gale!" in that way. Because the point of Hunger Games is the plot, not the romance. It ended appropriately - and I won't say any more for fear of spoilering it. But yeah, if I argue over Peeta and Gale, I'll be doing it as for who's a better character rather than the better choice for Katniss or whatever. And as far as characters are concerned, I think Peeta is far, far more complex than Gale.

(Tai, I did have that spoiler warning.)

FALLEN - the new book came out August 24th, I /think/ so that's probably why. I found it online, though.

i read mockingjay.
SPOILERS

WORST. ENDING. EVER.

seriously way to kill the trilogy, the ending was a complete train wreck. seriously one second it could go well as far as ending, then she gets blown to hell then a huge chunk of the rest of the book is spent in a drug trip. and the death count was insane, i mean MAJOR SPOILERS

prim dying! what the hell does that accomplish! it basically means that the first book is completely pointless cause she would've died anyways. half the people didnt need to die at all. and she ends up with the fricken baker.

seriously for the last 50 pages i was going "What the hell!" over and over again.

SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER!!!

And finnik!  cry cry cry There was no fuss made over his death! He was like the awesomest character EVER! And not a tear was shed over him! Apart from mine  cry cry cry cry (although they are cyber tears...)

I knew Katniss was going to end up with Peeta, but I agree, THE ENDING SUCKED!!! It was a bit boring too, she was held up in the games building and a district 8 lady became new president...and SERIOUSLY BIG SPOILER HERE Coin did not seem that bad throughout the book! Needed some earlier editing...She should have got 2 arrows and shot snow AND Coin...

AND (SERIOUSLY BIG SPOILER WARNING) PRIM DIED!!! WHY! It was random! Why could it not just be a happy ending? Or a tragedy??? Prim dieing sucks! [PM me for full rant on this].

But mockingjay was still epic...just nowhere near as good as the first 2...

Pedro - Tai -

Spoilers Ahead. Don't say I didn't warn you.

I so completely, totally, utterly disagree. I thought Mockingjay was an amazing book, and I thought the ending was completely warranted. How the hell would you expect the Hunger Games series - which revolves around deaths - to end without at least four or five significant characters dying?

Generally I'm against important characters dying in books, but honestly, I was surprised neither Gale nor Peeta died. That's something. And it was very clear from the start that Prim /had/ to die. There had to be some relevance  - the whole POINT is that Prim is such an important character, it puts things into perspective for Katniss. I agree there could have been more warning about Coin's evil, but it was pretty obvious she should have died the moment she suggested another Hunger Games.

I thought the last 50 pages were some of the best in the book. Just because you're with Gale doesn't mean it was BAD. Honestly, I would have been outraged had she ended up with Gale. He did NOTHING the entire series as a character except kill a mountainful of people!!! Peeta was in the Games with her, he fought for her, he was TORTURED for her and you sum it up as "she ended up with the baker" ?! Dude!

Quote
She should have got 2 arrows and shot snow AND Coin...

Snow was dying anyway. It was irrelevant. Besides, she couldn't have had two arrows because
a) I doubt Coin would have allowed her to
b) it wouldn't have been as dramatic.

As for but WHY couldn't it have been a happy ending?! ... srsly?! It was as happy a bittersweet ending as you were going to get. It's not supposed to be happy. That much was obvious from the start. It was an intensely appropriate ending. I thought it was great.

There's no way Mockingjay killed the series. It was epic. I'll admit Finnick needed more recognition, but that said - it was still an amazing book.

SPOILERS AS ALWAYS

it may revolve around death but thats why they rebeld in the first place. and to have katniss vote to continue the hunger games and kill snow and coin. (yes i know coin and snow were evil and the hungergames did stop)  i mean the one thing she fought for other than her family was to stop the killing and she ends up killing a lot. one main reason i didnt like it is because it violated my three rules 1. ends with a bang, no epilouge. 2 good guys survive. 3. guy gets the girl. in this case it wasnt the right dude in my opinion.

END SPOILERS

I still think it just could've been sooo much better, seriously ehhh, my copies of hunger games, catching fire, and mockingjay.  are now listed on ebay.

Whatever, I just think that's your loss. "Ends with a bang" is a pretty annoying rule to have, though. Some books just shouldn't end with bangs.

And the good guys /did/ survive, in a way.

And the right guy got the girl xD So I guess we'll agree to disagree.

never read a bad book that does end in one, plus i just havea thing with epilouges, ever since the midnighters epilouge.

SPOILERS....not as many as could've, plus i dont get the point of the last like 80 pages, if they had just stayed at the camp all the people would've survived.

Haven't read the Midnighters. And that's because authors have the sense not to xD I mean, if something like Pendragon had ended with a bang, I would have been appalled ...

Spoiler

... not as many as could've? I think the author sort of decides that. If less people had died it would have been taken more lightly. Honestly, that sort of mission would've been realistic if they hadn't died. I didn't want them to, but that doesn't mean it doesn't make sense.

At camp in District 13, you mean? But then nothing would have been accomplished.
