i think these books are so predictable!
i mean, its the obvious theme.
main charectar has bad life.
something seeming bad happens to the main charectar
friends ditch main charectar.
main charectar gets a chance to start over.
main charectar suddenly sees a hopefull future.
that is, if she can overcome certian things.
did i mention she is unusually special and good at being a vampyre, when she thinks she cant do anything in the begining?
ok, there was a couple modern things like same sex lovers and such, but mainly its like twilight, execpt without the good parts.
sorry, but i think this series was a waste of time.

Yay, someone agrees wih me. >_<

i still stand by my opinion that its predictible but nice if you just want easy reading.

isn't it funny how not very good books get the most fame?

Actually, I think this books has a lot of twists and interesting features in it. Ok, yes, chacterasation is very predictable, but the way her life around her develops is interesting. Also, the plot is fairly epic at times, with the boks really managing quite well to switch between different plots. so i quite like it

I thought this was a good book series, until it got dragged out too long. I think thats what makes it predictable, no matter how hard you try, 10 books (I think thats how long its supposed to be)is always going to start sounding a bit 'same-y'.

Also too long between next book killed it for me, it doesn't stand the test of time unlike Anthony's stuff, I mean even if Oblivion didn't come out for another 10 years I'd still be desperate to read it. I can't say the same for House of Night. Doesn't mean its not worth a read though, especially the first few.
