Matt probably wouldnt appreciate those comparisons much, would he. wink

Not to mention I dont think she even knows the others names.

But it just - well, to me it seems a teensy bit less likely that she suddenly finds she's into Jamie when Matt's been the focus for so long. *shrug*

I don't think that if there is any romance in the 5 it should stop where it started. I know I'm a girl and I should like romance. But Romance is to dramatic to be in this book. Romance in this book is almost wears then hearing to my friends talk about Robert Patterson at lunch. And if there is romance in the 5 book(of there is a 5 book). I might scream angry .

it would be good for us but not them. say scar and pedro both like eachother. again lets say pedro dies. scar would have a huge breakdown and that would make it a bit interesting...

I have no idea how to define romance as I see it. Ive rewritten this post over and over trying to describe what I mean, but I just can't. I guess you feel it or you dont... *shrug* all I can say is what I mean is much, much, a thousand times much more than just attraction... its.... ROMANCE.... lol cheesy

Romance is more than just mutual attraction. it's love. it's being willing to risk your life over and over again for the one you love. it's knowing that no matter what they will always love you, always be there for you, and in some ways need you, just like you love them, will be there for them and need them

and in a context like this it's finding that, and I guess acknowledging that, through being close to someone in an extraordinary and intense situation where you are actually risking your life for the other person...

I know this is sounding rather un-AH, but - it doesnt have to be mushy and gushy. It can be very subtle and still powerful.

i think romance and love are different things. i think love is more being willing to do anything for a person, romance more wooing them and wanting to be with them.

I think romance is sort of a generic term for eveything from being charming to courting someone to mad love at first sight. I just know its more than simple attraction...

why are we discussing this anyway? We all know what the point of the thread is, however its worded....

Okay, I am sorry people that think otherwise but I really want Matt and Scarlett to get together, there seems to be something there! I don't want the last book to be all romance or anything, but I do want them to get together!

Ha ha!! Yay for you (po5fan).... though I dont want them to get together (sorry lol) Im just happy because someone else in the world agrees there's something there!!!! finally lol

Personally (restating this theory for possibly the tenth time...) I want Matt and Scarlett to get close, Scarlett to die, Scar to replace her, Scarlett's death to contribute to Matt's dark-and-deep-leader personality/be the catalyst that makes him go dark-and-deep, and Scar, lost and terrified in this new world, to take comfort in the one person she knows... namely Jamie wink wink
