optimism makes me laugh. i was optimistic for a day... i got 3 pencil cases thrown at my head. beats when i was pessimistic though... yelled at, slapped, shoe thrown at me.. all from the same person.

pathetic romantics are sweet though. except when they throw things.... i should get new friends.

Hmmmm *ponders for a while* I doubt that there is going to be any real pairings in the story. But if you're a fan of anime and manga (Japanese Cartoons in a nutshell) or games then you will find that there are many random pairings with chracters that just don't work... inclusing some that never speak to each other or hate each others guts! Like.... Scarlette with the Chairman etc.. Yes, some pairings can get weird.

If I enter fangirl paring mode then I'd probably pair Scarlette and Matt together. It's the only one I can see ever working.

Im still pushing Jamie-Scar (the one from the past)
Unfortunately that (literally) kills any Scarlett/Matt potential, as it means Scarlett dying in some way. But I like Scar and Jamie better than Scarlett or Matt so, mwa ha ha. Hmph.

romance is so.... not everything is about romance. ok, everything can link to love (or lack thereof) but not casual romance.

how are you defining romance though, MC? I was meaning more... candlelight and sweeping staircases and poetry and prince charming and such - the nice epic happily-ever-after (*sues disney...*) - than like... high school students holding hands. Lol. The 'romance' I mean is a way of being as well as a way of feeling, not just 'a relationship' or something.

And gypo - yay! go team! lol. Jamie and Scarlett though? hmm... I wanted that before I read Necro, but after I read it (**spoilers, in a very general sense**) I was getting more a Matt-Scarlett vibe (okay, she's like obsessed with him, and he thinks she's cool) and, well, as Ive said, Jamie just slept. undecided

she dreams of him, and then sees like... a vision of him... and then... whenever she thinks about the whole thing, the whole five/gatekeeper THING, she thinks of it in terms of relating to Matt - finding him, etc... I dunno... its weird... and then in the cell theres lots of "This was a girl he could like" and such.

*shrugs* but Im very probably seeing things that arent there. Im rather good at that.
