I totally agree with you ^^ I like all of them for very different reasons, and their different personalities complement each other wonderfully.
However it would be interesting if there was a little rivalry between the group because it would add to the tension, and they would be forced to work with each other which could have some interesting effects.

There were hints of a sort of rivalry between Matt and Scott... with the lack of trust thing and Jamie. That could be potentially developed... I think the rest are too easy going for a rivalry.
I love Matt so much, I'm not sure why... but although it's a shared journey, we've followed Matt's story and I can't help to be more attached to him than the rest.

Sad Scott's so wonderful... stop being mean to him!
The only thing is Jamie is still stronger, because he was able to control Scott's mind.  .
Wait, what? Jamie's never controlled Scott's mind... just sort of, helped break through all the stuff Nightrise did to his mind... well, helped break slightly through. And sure, he's a brainwashed minion by the end of Nightrise, but does that make him so bad?
Ok. It doesn't spark up love for him... but think of all he does for Jamie! And he's such a lovable, traumatised victim, think of all the Scott angst!

Oh, I really like all five Gatekeepers - they all have such different interesting personalities!
However, I think that my favourite will be Scarlett, as she is just SO courageous, daring to stand up for herself! If it were me in Necropolis, I would have totally freaked out and done done anything useful!
Next, I suppose, would be Matt. He is such a great (though reluctant) leader. He cares for the other 4 Gatekeepers, and I really like how he volunteered to climb the sword ladder instead of Jamie!
Then, it would be Jamie. He is really nice, if you get what I mean. He is really caring and everything!
Last but not least, here come Scott and Pedro! They are both excellent. Scott really cares for his brother a lot, and I admire him for his sacrificial spirit. Pedro, on the other hand, is a wonderful healer who can feel for others, though a little reluctant to play his part in Gatekeeping.
The Five Gatekeepers all ROCK!

Utterly agree. Though the stories are about all five of them, I see Matt as the main character, and he's definitely my favourite. I love Matt!

I SO AGREE! Matt is AWESOME! Let us all hope that AH does not make him die in Book V, though...

I Read Oblivion two days ago.  NO Oblivion Spoilers!

1st to 5th

1.Scarlett-Like her impulsive nature and go get'em attitude.  She's not afraid to get her hands dirty(stabbing evil monk in the neck).  Her being the only girl makes her stand-out, with out her it would be a sausage fest.
2.Matt-His determination, responsibility and undying bravery(a bit like Alex Rider in some ways).
3.Scott-His resentfulness and jealousy made him an interesting character.
4.Pedro-In Oblivion he showed some guts, gotta respect that.
5.Jamie-Never liked him since Nightrise, still think he's whiny.

As the series has concluded that's my final 1st to 5th Gatekeeper order. cool
