First of all, before I say anything else, I'd just like to say thank you to Bingo for saving me time, cause I used half of her post from the old BP topic.
We only have until February the 28th to nominate, campaign, and vote, so please do it as soon as possible! Thank you. The new board President will be announced on March 1st.
I will be running this topic and counting the votes with the help of Bingo (er, if she agrees) and I am not eligible to run for President again. Neither are any administrators, or moderators.
There will also be no Horowards for this month, due to elections.

Here's how things will work:Once nominating is over, all nominees must then campaign. Just a short paragraph on why you'll be good and what you'll do to make the board a better place is fine. Don't bother saying anything impossible though =P Campaigns can include sig advertisements, PAs and posts in this thread
After that, voting will begin. To vote, you'll have to PM me( *ME2005*), or Bingo with "BP Voting" as the title in the subject bar and they name of the one member you wish to vote for. Then, all votes will be counted up and the new Board President will be announced.
Of course, you can't vote without knowing what the President does!
Basically the President will be a go to person, someone who helps people. Like a Moderator without the moderating powers (Meaning if the President sees an unneeded topic or post, they can warn our lovely moderators). The person is also a member who should greet all new members. It may be a Presidents job to send nice, welcoming PMs to all new members. The President will be someone who people can go to for advice without... "intimidation" from moderators. Lastly a President is someone who will and should gain the respect from all members. Although remember, "with great power, comes great responsibility"

A BP should be there to make life easier for members, whether it is to reply to questions or help out in moderate conflicts. They should go out of their way to provide as much help and information as possible. A BP is not a moderator. They can't decide what is right and what is wrong. They should only mediate. The BP is a reference member to which everyone can look at and see how things should be done.
The new President will be annouced on March 01 2009!!
