I have found two mistakes in Eagle Strike:
Roper, when locked in the bottle room, could have easily crouched under the mentioned table in order to escape the torrent of coins.

Also when Cray had the latex casing of the president's hand: the prints would have been upside down and backwards. And let me ask you someone, when you shake hands with someone, do you touch fingertips or entire hands? huh

Alex Rider rocks! Original, isn't it?

1. I imagined there being so many coins, the table, too, was covered.
2. Good point! maybe he high-fived the prez too or something. Or he scanned the fingerprints, then imprinted them on a new glove.  undecided

Yeah, I wondered about the glove thing too, but the bit with the coins.... I imagined the coins falling so fast and there are so many of them that there would be no hope at all for escape.

I don't have my books with me so I can't check on what the table was made out of, but if it was wooden, it would likely collapse with the weight of a ceiling's worth of coins on top of it, and/or  the coins on the floor would gradually slip under and both crush him and suffocate him. It simply beomes a question of how he'd rather go. We are talking about over 45 metric tonnes of metal here.

The point the books keep making about Alex is that he is exceptionally good under pressure and when he is endangered, if it could have saved him, he would have thought of that; It is likely that Roper simply panicked and couldn't think.

I think the finger prints thing is less of a mistake and more of an incomplete description of his methods in the text. If one has managed to get the finger prints of the president of the USA, one would certainly manage to think to use them as a mould rather than as a stimulus themselves. Although yeah, it is a bit lucky that he managed to get a whole print of his fingers. Cheesy

even with a partial print it probably would of worked. They could of constructed the rest using a computer.
I agree with Fraija, I think most people would be a bit stunned and dumbfounded if it started to rain coins

well ive read all the AR books and cant remember the part about the coins but with the other questios to answer the first one (youll probably think ive been watching to much CIS) the finger print dosent have to be right side up just as long as the computer can identify the print is all that matters and to the other question you touch the other persons whole hand because usually you grasp the persons hand

1. The coins would be falling so fast that the $25 coins would be underneath the table.
2. I didn't think about that.

Yeah and he would still end up suffocated once they fill up the rest of the room.

Anyway, the President thing wouldn't work, because when you shake hands, you don't touch fingertips, you touch the other persons back of their hand with your fingertips.

His finger tips still touch his hand though, and his whole hand was covered in a glove, all they would have to do is take the fingerprints off of that
