well if Scarlett dies then according to what the past Matt said,  she'd be replaced by scar. becausethats just how it works. the only acception to that would be if Jamie died because sapling is already dead so there's no one to replace jamie.

I think if one of the five dies, it should be Scott because in the past, they trusted Flint. They don't trust Scott.
And I have a feeling Richard may die...
I hope Richard, Matt and Pedro don't die. They are my favorite characters.

Oh, hey, I so just read part of the Alex Rider section (on Scorpia Rising), where DoubleONothing says that AH says he could never kill a child in one of his books... he could be mistaken and allow something to kill one of them, or maybe someone else dies... like Richard...

Ooh. I guess, technically, he's already killed off Sapling... does that count as killing off a child? Hm...

It really depends on what you count as a child. Would a teenager be child? We don't know how old they will be by the end of the book. They could be 18 or 20. Are they still children then?

Well that is a bit too obvious if I do say so mayself, but you never know how AH will spin it.  At least for the Scar angle.  Pedro, it's possible and I do think it would be pretty interesting, but I don't know.  I really think it would be interesting if Scott died cause we all know he was messed up during his encounter with Nightrise.  I still don't know how AH will do it.

ok , why does everyone think that there are only 2 lives per gate keeper?
according to the 3rd book, each gate keeper has at least 3 lives...

any way i thonk it could be scar cos she got shot in the head
another thing, how can somes one possibly survive after being shot in the head? i mean shouldn't scar die immedietly?

Three lives?! I'm confused... where does it say that?!

And it all depends on where you get shot. If at the front, the cerebral cortex, lots of your personality stuff would change, but I don't think you'd die if it only skimmed that area... only it'd probably go straight through into the stuff that'd kil you if damaged.. But if it hits the.... back of the head and quite deep, quite low down inside, this would destroy the stuff controlling involuntary parts of you and you'd die. It said with Scar that it hit her temple, but it could have only skimmed it and she passed out from the fact that her head was hit. But yeah, most head injuries can result in death, being shot is quite likely to...

Oooh! What if she was hit and her power stopped working... that part of her brain got damaged...

there should be future versions. didn't the old matt say that if you get killed you are replaced by the future version and if that get killed as well, it is replaced by the past?
 like if
pedro terminated > turn into to 3rd gen pedro
3rd gen terminated>  turn into indie
(get it ? yese no undecided)

With all this talk of future 5s.... I'm imagining some Cyberpunk variant of each character with glowy lights and ray guns.... *pew pew pew*

To be honest.... I'd rather they DIDN'T die and get replaced, I'm too attatched the current guys. I iddn't really warm up to the old guys.... even though it is inevitable that one will die. It saddens me  cry
