Necropolis: City Of The Dead. Out October 2008. ( Theories and News)

 Welcome to the new Necropolis thread! The old one has passed fifty pages,as has the one before it
 Here you can discuss anything Necropolis,and post any new news or announcements or links,or your theories concerning the book (out October 30th!!)

 This is what we know about Necropolis

i have decided to put together all we know about Necropolis, City Of The Dead, just so we can think it all out:
Here is what we know from AH :

- The book is book is split into 3 parts , the first is narrated by Scar, the remaining member of the five, and the only girl.
The second is narrated by Matt, and the third is narrated by AH .
- The book will have massive devastation and/or destruction in the end.
- In the beginning of the book, Scar is travelling to Hong Kong. Her father is a member of nightrise.
- We know from the synoposis that Matt is going after her, and that the Man Ho temple in Hong Kong is included.
-we know the book is 105,000 words long,with 3000 edited out. That is roughly (according to the other books) is 400 pages at most. According to Walker books,it is exactly 400 pages,but since Nightrise was smaller in size,and this one is hardback,it should be about a couple of pages or so bigger than Nightrise.

Here is what we know from the old series of the power of five: (possible spoiler)

- The last one was called Day Of The Dragon.
- The dragon was featured in a dream.
- Scar's power is weather control.
-In the Man Ho Temple,which was mentioned in the synopisis,swords may or may not be involved,particularly with Matt.

Here is what is what we have guessed but it is most probably true:

- Scar's power is weather control.
- Scar is adopted.
- There is most probably a door in the Man Ho temple similar to the one Matt found in the cave (in other words, a portal)
- The Ukraine comes into it (i am not sure whether or not this is a fact, so i put it here).
- Hong Kong is the City Of The Dead. The massive destruction will turn it into that.

NOTE: these are all very educated guesses based also on the old series and they are most probably true.

ok, guys, tell me if i missed anything out, or if i got anything wrong...any new theories?

The official synopis for Necropolis has been revealed:

Hong Kong has been taken over by the Old Ones and has become Necropolis, City of the Dead. Once in, there is no way out? Evil has been unleashed on the world and only five children ? with special powers ? can save it. Matt and the other three desperately need to find Scar, the final Gatekeeper, who has been trapped in Hong Kong, where puddles of water turn into puddles of blood, where ghosts, demons and hideous creatures stalk the streets. Matt has no choice but to follow her. Now, both imprisoned, their only hope of survival is to reach a secret door in the Man Ho temple. But even if Scar can find her psychic power, it may already be too late.

Back to Necropolis,as BB was saying at the end of the last thread,when do you guys think Scar will tell her story? When Nightrise holds her hostage or something or when she meets Matt? And you guys think there'll be a bomb?

Lol i created the "Official synopis" bit on wiki and just some of the confirmed facts. But thats it. AH said that Ukraine comes into it on 1 of his news letters....

i dont think its that big a part even when AH narrates..i think they'll come in just at the end,and in dreams,and in Matt's part

BB: so you agree with Paul's theory now? ^^ i do. i think actually,that the bomb lands on Hong Kong,thus destroying it,and the old ones use their powers to turn it into a city of the dead/living dead,and Scar uses hre power to control the fallout while Matt uses his to fight off the old ones,because they have an army of the dead after them...and then one of them goes through the door in the temple and they get seperated?
