Ed hardychick I live in the us too, I found out its coming out in april 2009.... If you cant wait and you have the money you can order it from amazon.co.uk and get it shipped to the US.... Thats what I did....

im amazed they have to wait that long, normally the US gets everything before Australia, but in Australia we got the book on the official release date (or the day before in my case  tongue)

it is because aus is much closer to the uk than it is to the us, so we get MOST books the same time as them, the americans will not buy english books, they need an american publisher (crazy) but the uk and aus will have american books

i think it has to do with taxes. its easier to get a new publisher than it is to pay taxes to send the books in. it guves a bigger profit margin

i think its becasue they dont want english terms or something in their books. like with harry potter they changed a few things for the american version. including the name which i think is stupid

I also imagine it has to do with the cost of shipping. It's probably easier to print books in the US if you have a US publisher behind you.

No. You can order it from amazon.co.uk. The American verson (amazon.com) will not have it until April or so. Trust me I know. I accidently bought two copies from England and it would cost a lot to return the second book. I tried to sell the second one on amazon.com, but the site wouldn't let me. So my library will now get a copy for free around Thanksgiving.
