Ian Rider is awesome!

OK just for the sake of discussion lets say AH decides to do another movie, except for this is an original prequel. It focuses on John and Ian. I think the Ewan Mcgregor was magnificent as Ian and that he should play him again. But what about John? Do you guys have any actors you see as John Rider? Personally I think of Jim Carrey.... haha I'm kidding. I actually could see someone like Tom Cruise before he went crazy, or my personal favorite: Robert Downey Jr. Thoughts?

Well considering as he's a British character, wouldn't you need a British actor?  Plus..you can't choose randomly, I think there's a picture of John and Ian in Stormbreaker somewhere in the background....I think so any way, so whoever it would be would have to at least look like the picture

not too many people have seen it though, so we could get away with it...

although i admit i cant really think of any British actors suitable for thr role. Perhaps the one who played Lupin in HP? Although he;s not handsome enough, i suppose...

I would agree that jason stantham would be a good choice, as he would fit in with the soldier role etc, and the look of a hired killer, as we can all seee from his past films
