That's the way it is with a lot of series. They just ramble on and on. Authors just want to get a few more dollars. I'm glad AH keeps the Alex Rider series suprising and interesting,

I thought it was unnecessarily sad, and made little sense. Honestly, the ending was the best part. It was the only thing that seemed halfway genuine. I hated the plot, I hated Max, and I don't even remember the villain. He's that bad.

Maybe if the plot had warranted the weird ending, I would have liked it. But none of it fit. The plots of the last few books have been sort of shameful.

I'd have to agree with bingo on this one. There are funny moments but in my opinion James Paterson made a hames of a potenuatly good series.

Agreed. JP should just hang up his writting hat. I mean he has over 30 adult novels and 10 young adult (not including the manga and grafic novels) and they all kinda get rubbish and unimaginitive and unoriginal as they go on .

like bingo said the first three in the maximum ride where good. Some of the stand alone novels are good. The start of the Alex Cross series was brillent but now i kinda think there like 'meh i think i've read this somewere before' if you get what i mean.

I totally get what you mean ^^ And I'm so glad you agree with me! I was devastated after I read Final Warning. It just seems like such a waste.

I think authors should spend more time coming up with original ideas even if it postpones the release date.
