I don't get that though Bingo because they do all these competitions e.c.t. desperatly trying to get people to read and when people really want to read theres always a reason in some shape or form that stop them from reading or reading something in particular it makes no sense to me.

i meant about here...no one other than me and tia read proper books. so if we had them in the library,it would be of little use...

we do have book competitions, but they're all ridiculous ad about classic books and so on. Pretty much useless for anyone over 10...

yeah, but i agree with the last part. First they want people to read then they make up an excuse to stop them reading good books.

I'm glad everyone backs me up. I thought it might have just been me getting worked up over nothing.

By the way one of the lib assistants thinks its a bit drastic banning them from the library and she can't see any reason why they shouldn't go in

I spoke to her today and emphasised the fact that its only raven's gate that really "leans towards the dark side". I also made a point in saying how AH doesn't emphasise the witches and stuff in the later books. She said she would re-read them and reconsider. cheers everyone because i had all sorts of counter-arguments ready from all the stuff that had been said e.g the stuff about the last HP book and stuff like that.

Again thanks everyone, this MAY be a break through.

we have AR in my school libary but not PO5, Mainly because my school does not have the money to get new books, I had to donate all the AR books to get them in there.

Even though this teacher is re-reading them i doubt she will let them in the library because she goes to church. that will mean she won't agree with the part in omega one.

No offence to religious people.

I go to church and I've read the PO5 series and personaly love them!
The part in Omega one I didn't really agree with but its only a book and good goes over evil in the end of it so its not really that big of a problem.
It when the book is entirely based on dark magic and all that evil stuff that I won't read it.
There shouldn't be any reason from a religous point of view for your librarian to not let it in because of the small section with Omega one.
