Thanks Gypo
My favourite mythical creature is the Phoenix, i think its origionally chinese.....
but it has this cycle, that when ever it dies of age, it is reborn from the ashes of it's former self. and they are pure creatures, ones directly aligned with the light... they can literally do no wrong and are excellent judges of characters.

accually they even chaged his name. it should be Herakles. and tiaret her name is hestia. dont ask me why i know...i just do.
Well, about the name change....herakles and hercules are the same, jsut that one is the greek name and the other is the roman. like athena and minerva, ares and mars, zeus and jupiter...they're the same gods, same reasons of being, same legends...just different names because of a different language...
through the ages, especially in modern versions of the myths and legends, the names got mixed....like herculas as the son of zeus....should be herakles and zeus or hercules and jupiter...

I have a question:
Are we allowed to tell stories from mythology off of our memory?
Anyway,
I would have to say my favorite's would have to be the Greece's myths and legends...
I don't have a particular favorite(I can hardly remember half of the name's...)
As for creatures,
I would have to say the hydra...
I don't know why...
It always fascinated me...

I'm pretty sure it was called a hydra...
If I'm correct here, the hydra is the multi-headed beast hercules fought...
It started with 3 heads I think, and if you cut one off 2 more grew in it's place...

In Greek mythology, the Lernaean Hydra (Greek: ([Λερναία Ὕδρα] (help?info)) was an ancient nameless serpent-like chthonic water beast that possessed numerous heads? the poets mention more heads than the vase-painters could paint? and poisonous breath.
i guess we are all wrong...
