hmm.......you know!! you just gave me alot to think about!! we totally forgot about the past five in book five!! d'you think they'll meet in the dream world? or matt willl die and past matt will replace him?

@dani:...probably, but i think it will also describe how powerful the old ones are now and where each of the five are and how the world is getting worse and stuff like that, i think...right?

thin, yeah, i wonder why? and yet we always bring them in when we're thinking about necropolis. now that i think of it,  its more probable in the fifth than in necropolis,good work, thin!!
you should read the necropolis topic (we put everything we knew about it in one post there) and see if you can think of anything!!

Well one dies and then they make an oath never to see each other again because the old ones have cursed them so they all stay away from each other and if they do meet each other again one of them hasd to kill the other to make sure the curse won't kill one of them.

cool AH said in his most recent blog that he plans to start Alex Rider 8 in October or November this year so normally it takes him 6 months so that would be April or May 2009 he could start writing book 5 or later

Oh that's great news that means i have to get another good book after the new year after seeing Twilight the movie firsts ince that comes out in January. Yay the future looks brighter now.

I think you are all wrong. The final book is going to be completely different. AH is trying to make this series as realistic as possible. The world of witchcraft is very accurately portrayed in the books. It isn't wizards with wands in the real world, going around saying spells and mixing potions and shooting bolts out of their wands and riding unicorns. It is very dark and that is what AH is describing in his books. The final book will be an apocalypse, the world will be in complete control of the Old Ones and people everywhere will be either following the Old Ones or be dead. The world will be grey and bloodstained. The five kids will not be able to defeat the Old Ones like it was done last time. They will be in hiding and servants of the Old Ones will be everywhere. The final battle will end in Matt confronting King of the Old Ones but I do not think this is the kind of series where the good guys always win. That would be too boring of an ending I think. We'll have to wait and see.

i agree about they'd be in hiding and the world would be in control by the old ones. i dont think the old ones will win though but OMG i totaly agree happy endings are so boring

Well it's not going to be a super happy ending is it if one of them has to die anyway.

at The Bomb...we already did say that the world wouuld be in control of the Old Ones completely by the fifth book. and the rest of that. but i dont think the oldones would win,because that wouldnt be a halfway satisfying ending, really..however, i think the ending will be shocking, such as ALL of the five dying, or something similar,and it should be somewhat shocking, but i dont think the oldones would wn.
