it reacts with water and gives off 2 gases, phosphine and phosgene,
phosgene is the nasty one, it causes you to blister, that doesnt sound too bad but, when you swallow the tablet, thats the inside of your mouth, your osophogus and your stomach.
then it permeates the stomach wall, and causes your entire insides to blister, before the blistering eventually gets so bad that you die, the gas is so bad that when the emergency services come across a body that died from it, they go in in full bio suits, put the body in a bio suit, then in a hazmat barrel,
 they bury the body in the barrel, and incinerate the bio suits used. it is an extremely slow and painful death

besides , what ever happened to cyanide? much more accessible than Aluminum Phosphide.

ahh, but aluminium phosphide is soo much more creative, and painful.
if they have to much there is even a little colateral, which ads to the excitement of it all, and it is very easy to find out who gave someone cyanide, but if they die of Aluminium Phosphide they cant do an autopsie, or even look at the body, so it is a very safe way of killing somebody

a little, but that isnt all that creative, my Dad works at the NSW Fire Birgade Hazmat unit and my mum is a chemistry teacher, so i know about chemicals, Aluminium Phosphide is a simple way to kill someone with out getting caught.

yes, yes it would.
you dont even get a decent coffin, because they have to bury you in the Hazmat barrel, nor are your friends and family allowed to attend the funeral because you cant be too sure it wont leak. (although that might only be in extreme cases, im not sure)

as i said my dad is with hazmat, many years ago some idiot committed suicide by eating 20 Aluminium phosphide tablets, Hazmat were called in to deal with it, im interested in chemicals so i asked dad about it, he told me about it, its actually quite a famous case, he was one of the fireys there, possibly in charge i cant remember. i also cant find it on the net, but it was a big deal when it happened, cause it was the first major incident of its kind
