I accidentally happened to see an episode of Season 3 on my PBS station under the heading of Masterpiece Theater, and I was hooked!  I've always been a fan both Horowitz and Kitchen.   I purchased the Season 3  set via Amazon.com.  I've now seen them all, and have loaned them out to neighbors and siblings.

For Christmas, I bought myself Sets 1 & 2, and intend to thoroughly enjoy the viewing.  (I did notice there is a suggested order for viewing, thank you.)

It takes time for quality programs to get attention.  Hopefully with time, as Foyle's War is repeated, it will get popular in the U.S. It beats anything we're producing here.

As far as the discussion on whether or not DCS Foyle should have a romantic involvement, my 2 cents worth. I'd rather see him flirt with an attractive woman now and then, but avoid entanglements.  Michael Kitchen is so sexy, he could easily get away with it, and leave the women swooning for more.

Thanks to the author, the production crew and the actors for putting together such a great series.

Miss Criss, you are all set for some riveting viewing over Christmas.
Watching Foyle's War is the perfect way to spend the festive season.
This is the best detective series ever produced in the UK, and Michael Kitchen plays the role of DCS Foyle to perfection.
Not only is it excellently written and acted, but the accurate historical content makes it  even more interesting.

Everyone involved in this series deserves a big Thank You.

Joanna.
