i disagree, ash can t possibly be on guard all the time, plus yassen is extremely stealthy. if a sniper could shoot alex, the YASSEN(better than a sniper) could shoot ash.

as i said, you cant snipe someone of you cant see them, Ash knows that, he also knows Yassen is better than him, he would probably hide out somewhere and set a trap, which even if it failed would result in him and Yassen being relatively close together, both with weapons, resulting in a massive shoot out, where anything could happen, although Yassen would probably win, in a shoot out no one can be sure.
as i keep saying Ash isnt an idiot

bingo, Alex is an easy target for a sniper, the sniper knew were he was going ot be, were he was headed, and had plenty of time to prepare, also Alex didnt know he was coming.  Ash would have contacts that would tell him Yassen was coming for him, and even if he doesnt he would know that Yassen almost definatley does, and would as such work out that Yassen would be coming to kill him, he would make sure to be erratic in his movements, so Yassen would never know what he was going to do, and people can be on guard constantly, not constantly alert, but they can make habits of doing the things that will make it hard for a sniper to kill them,

ash wont tell people were he is going, stadard security measures are you dont even tell the driver until your already travelling and they cant communicate with any one, or hed use public transport traveling under a false id, thats all pretty standard stuff that everyone in that kind of business will know, it would be a long chase,

you'll notice we actually agree that Yassen is by far the better of the 2, im just saying it will take longer and that Ash has the skills to get into a situation were he would have a chance, neither of them would be an easy target, and in the end ot could be test of who can keep up the chase the longest, and Yassens skill could actually end up getting in his way, he gets his opponents quickly, against a skilled opponent he might get tired and make mistakes, if that happened, then Ash would win, but who ever one i think it would be a long chase, and a relatively short fire fight at the end, because neither of them will put themselves in a position to get sniped easily

most people do, if i can explain my point clearly, which i often cant because i have an unusual way of thinking and people struggle to follow my thought trains from beggining to end.

BOT:
what i forgot to mention in my previous post, in a fire fight, unless one dies on the first shot, it could go either way, depending on what weapons each of them have,  both would probably be sure to have a weapon they were comfortable with, but if one has a small pistol and the other has an SMG, or an Assualt rifle the one with the automatic weapon would almost definately win.

Yassen wasnt expecting that, nor did he have a weapon, in his hand, the first thing he knew about that fire fight was he got shot.
its a little hard to win at that point
in a real fire fight its more complicated than that, as the other person is ready and waiting to get shot at, also you cant aim properly because you have to dodge the bullets they are shooting at you.  yes all you have to do is point a gun at thier head and pull the trigger, but if you just do that, they will kill you as well, which no one really wants to happen

heellllooooooo?!?!
Yassen would totally and completely win bec. he ALREADY did. Yassen was 10 times younger than ASH and he still almost killed him. Also, ASH wasnt sucha gr8 agent in the snakehead book - and yassen's like - the BESt in the world, not a failure agent like ASH.

Jewels, please read the whole topic before jumping in like that, i realize with longer topics thats unreasonable, but for a 3 page topic, read what other people have said,  i have answered all of the points you have raised in previous posts, and really dont want to repeat my self, this recently after saying it.

also avoid using text speak like 'gr8' i understand it but not everyone on the board speaks england as thier first language and many will struggle to understand you if you use text speak,

sorry to sound like im just picking on you, i dont mean to, this supposed to be a friendly warning before you really irritate some one, it does say to do these things somewhere, either in the board rules or in general discussion, anyway, just some frinedly advice.

DJ, you meant speak ''english''. smiley wink....hehe...anyway, BOT, i happen to agree, sort of, with jewels about the yassen thing...when you think about it, he could really beat ASH quite easily...with more ease than you said he would earlier...i d forgotten how much younger he was, and the fact that ash had had a whole team...i m not saying he would beat him at the speed of light, but more easily than you said.

ANSWER THE $#@*ing QUESTION!

« Reply #28 on: August 09, 2008, 03:42:05 AM »

That is all well and good but what really matters if is ash knows Yassen is out to get him or not. Not even the best agent in the world can defend himself agianst a threat that he doesn't know about.
If Ash found out first he could maybe track, maybe track dwn Yassen. and if he is lucky he'll kill him with the first bullet...otherwise he is dead.YAssen Strikes me as a Jason Bourne kind of guy. HE kills anyone trying to kill him. then he goes to the source of the problem and kills them.

Ash is dead either way unless yassen doesn't know that he is coming
