To me I think that he is a great character.  It stinks that he died in Eagle Strike cry.
Any thoughts?  Opinions?

Yeah, same here, he was one of the best.

His mystery did that, I think. Like, how, we don't know much about him. That's why I can't remember much from Eagle Strike, because I read it once, because I didn't remember much after his death.

Yassen was a great Villian but it was good that he died because he would be going after Alex again!(maybe)

This is a bit of a controversial topic.

Yassen would probably end up a lot like Ash in Scorpia - nightmares often, waking up clutching the scar on his neck or something. He worked for Scorpia for the money, I think, so he probably wouldn't be able to quit his job because he wouldn't have many other finances. (He could get a job in the army or military, but I doubt it, because that's pretty much Scorpia's enemy, MI6, and he had no reason to betray Scorpia.) Even if he did, the lure of the action and assassinations would probably take him back - he had worked for Scorpia for the most of his years.

Ah, having nightmares about the past. I think he could've worked for Scorpia for the money, but also the whole thrilll of killing (I get no thrill, he might). In Scorpia the assasin the final/penultimate chapter did it more for the thrill than the cash. but ehn, Yassen didn't have much money, he did walk!

No, I can't see him working for MI6, Scorpia's enemy. Alan Blunt might choose to overlook Yassen's past if he gave info on Scorpia, but then alan would want him to be a double agent, like John. Well, can't happen now, he's dead *sob*! Although, my mate wrote a fanfic where Yassen is alive still...

Lure of action and assasination...yeah, I see that too. I'd make this longer, but my hand hurts.

Yeah, I've read lots of fanfiction where people come back alive, though, and no offense to your friend, but they generally are pretty cliche. However, I've only been on the Alex Rider section at the big FF.net like once, so I can't exactly brag.

Yassen wouldn't have to be a double agent. If Scorpia chucked him out, though, and wouldn't take him back, then he probably wouldn't be sent back in to infiltrate, just given some lower field job. (Can you imagine him in an office? *giggles*) And there's always a chance in Blunt's eyes that Yassen could've been sent out by Scorpia undercover with false information.

Don't worry, I'm trying to steer him away from cliches, but he won't listen. Oh well, I'll find a way.

Oh yeah, Blunt gets suspicious about almost everything. and he makes mistakes. Yassen and false information, I kind of think he might betray Scorpia if he got enough cash (or whatever it is that makes assasins love their job) because in SB he betrayed Sayle by killing him, i think. I think Blunt probably wouldn't want an ex-assasin on his team because their is the chance of Yassen going back. *why-o-why do I refer to him as though he is alive!!*
