Okay, well, first of all, you should know that they are Christian Fantasy books, and so Wayne Batson is a Christian author. But that doesn't mean non-christians and atheists and such don't enjoy them. One review said that Christians will appreciate the symbolism, and, as
everyone aggrees, the adventure and imagination. It then said that non-christians will appreciate it for the action, adventure, twists, and magic(basically the whole fantasy idea).
I know many people that have read the books and didn't even realize they were Christian. Also to warn you, even if you don't think the first book is all that great(although I did) the second and third books are much darker and very intense, usually, and you have to read them in order or else the series isn't half as enjoyable So give the Door Within Trilogy a shot. It is:
1. The Door Within
2. The Rise of the Wyrm Lord
3. The Final Storm
