Your right about there only going to be one more book. Eoin said eight was his lucky number or something along those line. And about he didn't want the arty books to get totally crap like most books do in a long series. He also said theres gonna be another airman some where in the future.

I have an interview recorded on my camera........somewhere

I think opal will be in the next book because she been in every second book in the series so far

I secretly hope that Artemis dies - permanently. So then Eoin can't go back and rune the story. I really hate series that go back after they've come to an end

Cat Lover: You obviously have not read hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy...the 6th one is by Eoin Colfer and he manages to save a group of people who, in the 5th book, were doomed to die because the earth was about 2 seconds away from being destroyed...Killing Artemis will mean nothing...

Well, eight means "rich" in Chinese, so basically it's a good number.
And I can't really disagree on ending it with 8 books, since the 7th was all about numbers and luck  undecided

I can't wait until #8 book of Artemis Fowl comes out! I've read the whole series, the supernaturalist was also good, and half-moon investigations was great! Airman was the one book I didn't like for some reason, it got boring  grin

ah i on the other hand loved airman but didnt really like the half moon investigations...
though that might have been cos i want in the mood for reading .... i shall re-read it and say ^.^

Ohh, I LOVED Airman! It's one of my favorite books... it's just so touching and beautiful.

I can't wait for the new Artemis, though. I mean, I agree it's time they ended, but I hope they end with a bang. Atlantis Complex wasn't the bed. I hope this one will be like... Eternity Code or something. BUT IT HAS TO END ON A HAPPY NOTE, BECAUSE IT'S ARTEMIS FOWL.

I love this series so much. Sigh.

I really hope it wont be like the Atlantis complex where Artemis fowl loose his mind and makes me think noooo this cant happen to him . Seriously that was kind of depressing. I hope he his a bit more senile and evil in this one compared to the last one
