What is this Glow near Alex Rider's chest?

Is it:

A flashlight,

Gun fire,

A glint off of something soon to come, like a key or locket

What is it?

I don't think it's a gun. Personally, I think it's a flashlight as to shoot a gun from where that flash is would have no accuracy what soever.

Ok, gunshot.
Let's forget accuracy, remember, in books and films, the person can fire from anywhere and still hit....

Hey, you can.  Arnie hold assualt rifles in one hand and still kills every thing.

That said, the new logo, does look like a torch.

I think its a flash of a bullet coming out of a gun. The way Alex is standing doesn't look the way someone would be standing with a torch/ flash light. Plus the hand motion is weird you don't hold a torch at chest height where with a gun you do because your aiming higher up.

it's obvious it's a torch. that's what i thought when i first saw it.

AP is holding a torch
plus the flash looks round and when AH first wrote stormbreaker, AR had to use the torch in the mine

And that is a photo from that scene.

I agree it looks similar to the AR logo, but it isn't the same.

Either way it could just be the way the filmmakers interpreted it.
