Just as the "Robin of Sherwood- The hooded man", this is actually a book Anthony Horowitz wrote based on a TV show by Richard Carpenter.
It's not really his style for books, though there are definitely some aspects in there that make you realize that it was he who wrote it. It's in the form of some sentences, descriptions like no other person describes something, little wordplays,...
For those who want to know what it's about:
SPOILER ALERT
Former Lieutenant in the British Navy Jack Vincent has fallen down the social ladder, from high in society to a smuggler. He gets arrested and is sent on a boat to Australia, captained by his enemy. He organises a mutiny and takes over the ship, only to lose it shortly after in a storm and be stranded on an island. There he and 2 of his fellow mutineers are captured by a native tribe. To be able to break free, they steal another ship and sail the South Pacific with it. They encounter all sorts of adventures, and he comes face to face with his enemy now and again. There's more, but I don't want to give it all away
