It seems that over the series Alex has realized that he can no longer decide his future. He really doesn't have a choice on what he wants to do, M16 controlls his life. Alex may not work for them, but M16 will most definitely come up in the next books. Alex will forever be an agent there. Unless, like his father, there is no more use for him. At this point it seems like the whole entire spy community knows who Alex Rider is, and therefore there may not be a real use for him. I guess we will see.

Alex knows that MI6 can manipulate him to do what they want and so do they. so either he goes down kicking or accepts it and works with them on his own free will. but as Alex said theirs no real difference between them and the bad guys so I think he'll never want to work for them.  |
