Um...SPOILERS

When he is asked by the ASIS to work for them, Jack immediately says no. Both Alex and Brooke notice. Here's the quote- "Alex glanced briefly at Jack. She hadn't given him a chance to speak, and he understood why. She had been afraid of what he might say." I can't remember all the little bits, but another part is at the end when Blunt offers him a job. He refuses, and talks to Jack about it, but I was not convinced. He is also noticing that Bunt calls and ASKS him to come in, not demands it. That seemed to be one of the main reason he didn't want to do it, because he was always forced to.

Maybe that's not very convincing, but after reading Snakehead I was left with the impression that Alex is slowly moving towards working with MI6 in his future, even if he is not quite aware of it. It seems that Blunt, Crawley and Mrs. Jones get less nasty with each book. I re-read the first ones and was surprised that I liked Mrs. Jones at all, but she changes in the last ones.
What do you guys think? Lame argument, or plausible?

i haven't read all 6 pages of this topic, maybe i should have but i've kinna got to go now so if you've already read about this, my apologies ^^

In snakhehead, he defifnately seems to me to be losing the reluctancy he previously showed in his adventures. he sais that he's been trained all his life, it's all he has known, it's what he's good at... can't remember the exact words, but i thought he was coming to terms with all of the spy world and coming to accept (like?Huh?) it.

So yeah, i can imagine Alex in MI6 later on, i don't really see him as a insurance manager or a teacher... (unless its karate or something)
