Not long to wait now here in the UK for the welcome return of this excellent series,
although ITV appear to be keeping it a secret. I have yet to see a trailer for Foyle's War,
in spite of several for the other rubbish they show. Do they not realise just how popular
this series has been? A special word must go to the talented Michael Kitchen, who has
delighted audiences with his superb performance as the enigmatic Christopher Foyle.

Plan of Attack was a really enjoyable episode. It was good to see DCS Foyle back in charge again,
and the amusing exchanges between Foyle and Sam were most welcome.; as were the informal
scenes of the off duty Mr.Foyle. The plot was good, and the mood of the British people as the war
neared its end was authentic and well researched.
For some unknown reason, ITV have decided to make us wait for the two further episodes in this series.
The programme planners seem to be unaware that this series is eagerly awaited by millions of FW fans,
who do not care for cheap, vapid reality shows.

Here in the United States we have seen/heard nothing on the last 3 shows for Foyle's War. They usually show up right after first viewing in UK. Has anything been written/discussed in UK as if/when they are headed to the US on TV or via DVD. No mattter how many times we re-run the DVDs of the previous episodes they are music to the eye. Thanks, sorry to know its coming to an end.

Here in the UK, we are eagerly looking forward to this Sunday evening when Broken Souls, the
penultimate episode of Foyle's War will be shown. ITV have even managed, on this occasion, to give the
episode some well deservd publicity. This didn't happen with Plan of Attack which appeared to be slotted in
at the last moment. This morning, Honeysuckle Weeks, was interviewed on TV, and mentioned that maybe -
just maybe - this series might not be the end of Foyle. The new Director of Drama at ITV, Laura Mackie, seems
to favour a possible return of this excellent series, which should never have been axed., particularly when it has
proved to be so very popular. It's early days yet, but all Foyle fans remain hopeful.

Hello All,
Do tune in on Sunday for EP 2 of Series 6, which you should note is on at 8PM rather than the usual time of 9PM on ITV. I do hope you enjoy and I will of course let you all know about any news on a possible further series.

Thanks for the link to the web site. Not only does it give a ray of hope to Foyle's War fans,
but it also has a very nice picture of Michael Kitchen.
ITV has definitely scored an own goal by pulling the plug on this excellent series which last night
drew in 7.1 million viewers. It is totally mad to axe a programme with consistently strong ratings.
The episode shown last night, Broken Souls, was excellent. It dealt with some sombre and painful
issues, which accurately reflected the feelings of many people as the war drew to its close.
DCS Foyle was in excellent form, and was, as usual, a joy to watch.

I have just had the pleasure of watching 'All Clear' which is, sadly, the final episode in this
first rate series. It was a splendid episode, with all the cast giving their best performances.
It was great to see familiar faces from earlier episodes popping up again. Once again, it wasn't
afraid to tackle painful issues , which has been the case throughout this fine series.
A great bonus last night was the fact that DCS Foyle - who has seemed a touch grouchy in
some of the recent episodes - found quite a few reasons to smile. A sure way to delight
the many fans of this programme, which once again had higher audience ratings than the
rival channels. Well done, Foyle's War, and everyone involved in its production.
Hopefully, the talk of another series featuring our favourite detective in post-war Britain will
become a reality. So perhaps this is not Goodbye, Mr Foyle - just Au Revoir.

I have just received this reply from the ITV Duty Office about Foyle's War.
You will be pleased to learn that we are due to make another series of this very popular series for transmission sometime next year.
So, well done Mr Horowitz and all enthusiastic supporters of this series. 'Together we can make a difference'
Perhaps after VJ Day, the series could be renamed Foyle's Law, with Andy Foyle and Sam embarking on a spree of crime-busting adventures as in the Paul and Mrs Temple genre, some of which I think were set in the immediate post-war era, if the actors were up fot it.
