Pleaase tell me what you think.
Another Exciting Day (Present Tense) I sit in history class, with an indescribable boredom. Let me just put it this way, the detention I had just left sounds thrilling compared to this pit of misery. The markers for the whiteboard squeal in astonishment at what they are writing. The chairs creak and wobble back and forth, in a futile attempt to block the shrill voice of Mrs. Longtalk. The walls groan louder than us. It is definitely another exciting day. I stifle yet another yawn as I turn my gaze to the clock. Just thirty-eight minutes to go. Closing my eyes, I slump down in my chair. Will school every end? A dull, empty, room sounds better than this place of despair and learning. The clock seems to freeze in its tracks from the chilling voice of Mrs. Longtalk. I find myself daydreaming about long airplane rides, lectures with the principle, my aunt’s wedding, and other breathtaking things. Mrs. Longtalk drones on about the importance of sewers. Sewers are fantastic. Sewers are necessary for every day life. Sewers this, sewers that. Finally, I can’t stand it. “Your right Mrs. Longtalk! Sewers are the most amazing things! So amazing, that I could lecture just as long, and just as excitingly, as you! With your welcoming voice, and your fruitful expressions, I can never wait to get to your class!” She is smart enough to know that my voice is dripping with sarcasm. The glare she gives me is sharp enough to pierce diamonds. I sit down meekly, having nothing else to say. The only thing I don’t understand is why she sends me to the office, when her class would discipline me much more.
