In the latest Alex Rider book, Snakehead, Alex meets his godfather, Ash. Ash is not his real name however, but rather his initials, A.S.H.
Do these have any significance in real life??? My theory is that they are Anthony Horowitz initials, does anyone know what his middle name is???

Yea, I was wondering what they stood for too. Surely there is some significance or there would have been no reason for it. I also wonder why Ash smoked...was it just to show there was something not right about him? Or did it have some other significance as well?

AH initials..that is good. Like the number on the hogwarts express in harry potter is J.K's birthday. I don't think his middle name has ever been mentioned though.. huh

I've read the advanced copy of snakehead. It's amazing really. So many people are dying to read it and I actually held it in the palm of my hand...

I read the advanced copy too, I won it through the contest...
It was interesting to know that I had read it before anybody else, but now that amazing feeling has gone...
I wonder how different the ARC will be from the actual copy, probably only a couple spelling and grammar corrections

Well I've read it and... [SPOILERS from here on out]


...I don't think they mention it. Someone asked me as well what his name was and I didn't know.


I thought it was a good twist at the end, probably not completely unexpected. A bit sad, I suppose, Alex's "relative" but it wasn't too bad because he'd already figured it out.

I've looked all over the web and cant find amnything! He was born in Stanmore, Middlesex though but its unlikly that he would have put his birth place in the middle but its a attemp though very  feeble. lol

I never noticed tht ash was not his real name?...oo And i was sooo disspointed tht ash betrayed alex n his mum and dad like tht and thought tht in the last chapter Dinner For Three it would be Jack and Alex and Ash eating together but obvs not..
