well, i would believe so. the head of MI6 isn't going to walk around unprotected. obviously, to get the job he has, which i can't remember the exact name of at the moment, he would have to have some special skills, things that would have him promoted to the rank that he's at now.

i'd have thought he'd have others protecting him, i mean i dont think that you'd do spy missions to get to head of MI6 i think you'd do more paper work.

Well, thought as head of special operations (is that his title), he might of had to do fieldwork, then he'd of had experience. Of course I might be entirely wrong.

yea, he doesn't have to have done fieldwork, but he's obviously had to do something. and he'd have to be trained in some way, they're not going to let the head of the secret services run around with absolutely no training whatsoever. even if he is protected, everyone has to plan for the unexpected.

I was actually talking about if he retired (although he'd still have to basic paper work at the very least) but I doubt he would have done ay field work, he would have been one of the desk types, yeah. Is Chief of Operations or whatever the top position in MI6 or is power dispured equally? Is there like a "Director" or someone who's in full charge or how does the system work?

As far as I know, you have a cheif commander in MI6. The ranks are just like in army but the operatives are more skilled.

Depends on your way of thinking. I think it is completely normal if my friend tells me that he is a spy. I suspect everyone.

Yeah, but on what degree of suspition? If you suspect everyone, then it can actually make it easier for the real culprit to merge in with everyone else and be forgotten about. Does this make sense?

I think I understand that...

Did you mean that: If you suspect everyone, then the real culprit will be part of everyone and you'll be suspecting everyone else so the culprit won't stick out or anything...

I know, I'm insane...  tongue

i suppose if you took away the stiff clothes (not to leave him nude though! ugh!) and put him in some comfy vibrant ones, unwaxed his grey hair and wrinkled his face, and chnged his glasses to round ones....he'd be quite sweet  smiley .
