Alex Rider, NJ7, Cherub (i.e. James), the Power of Five, Young Bond, Harry Potter (kinda), Blown Away...all have male main characters...
Someone should write a book on a girl protagonists as spy etc....

well most of those books you listed were written by male authors and its often harder to write about a member of the opposite sex so yeah. also males can handle these situations well and some male authors like to have there characters similar to themselves.

But she is not the focus of the series. It is all five and mainly Matt so she really isn't one to consider.

She is one of the five I know but Matt is the main one in the five. And in Nightrise it involved Matt a lot too so Scar might not be the complete centre of attention in the 4th book. But chogirl meant a spy or adventurer rather than someone who stumbles upon a secret of saving the world.

I think there talking about all books. And the 4th book will be based on Scar as AH said himself.

Note the title "Why are there so many male protagonists in all cool books?" not all books. Yes AH said that the 4th book would be about Scar, I never said he didn't or that it would't be, what I said is that it won't be solely about Scar just like Nightrise wasn't solely about the twins. Also he can't start a completely new storyline in the 5th book so there will probably be 2 or three chapters in Necropolis of the five together.
